Best fan
Fan is powerful, super quiet at anything level 1-4, even at level 9 it makes noise but its a very pleasant quiet sound compared to my 20" lasko box fan. Easy to clean, blows super hard, size is nice so it doesn't take up too much space. The remote is simple and nice to use. I don't use the up/down and side/side too much, I just move it by hand to where I want it since my room is small. Easy to clean as well. It made this summer heat bearable having that quiet, powerful breeze.

Best dresser fan on the market
We’ve owned a Dreo pedestal fan before we moved. It was lost, which we were saddened. Due to this, we already know the quality of their fans. I needed a smaller fan for my office. I searched for the largest dresser/table fan they made. It was this model. There was no other research. Add to cart, and checkout!! The features Dreo packs in these fans are phenomenal!! Bluetooth for initial connection to phone. Wifi connection (only supports 2.4GHz) for firmware update, and communication to your account. Features: Fan can oscillate side to side, AND top to bottom!! You can select the angles for both ways. You can also select symmetric, or asymmetric. Symmetric means it will go the full range on both sides, equally. Asymmetric means that you can have 1 side move 15 degrees, and the other side to 30 degrees. This can be adjusted for both vertical/horizontal. You can set the fan to come on/off on a schedule if you would like. Great feature! I have my fan come on 1/2 hour before I start work (I WFH), so it’s nice and chilly. It turns off 30 minutes after I quit for the day. You can set the fan speed 3 ways. Standard, Turbo, and custom. Standard is just that. Set it, and select the fan speed, and if you want oscillation for vertical and/or horizontal. Easy Peasy. Turbo mode cranks up the fan speed (which is 9). You can also select to use the vertical/horizontal oscillation. If you don’t turn on the oscillation, you can use the 4-way arrow buttons to position the fan wherever you like. If it’s not working correctly, you can calibrate the oscillation. Custom mode is what I use. This mode uses the thermostat. You can set what temperature the fan starts, and the fan speed. You can ramp the speed up if the temperature goes past a set-point. It’s a little confusing, so I will share a photo of that in the app. Noise: This is by far the most important feature. Everyone ❤️’s to feel the cooler air, but not hear the fan. This fan is quiet! Mine normally runs on speed 5/6. You can barely hear the fan. On Turbo, you can hear the fan, but it’s still not as loud as the other fans of this size. You can control this fan several ways. On the included touch buttons, in the app, or by using Google Assistance/Alexa/Siri. It’s super easy to set them up. On the account page, click on one of the buttons, and follow the prompts. Very easy. Cleaning these fans is easy. . . BUT. . . They come apart a certain way. They have instructions in the app you can view when the time comes to clean the fan blades. So. You’ve come here to read the reviews, and make a decision ad to which one you will be choosing. Let me help you with that. This is the fan you want. Trust me on this. If you need a pedestal fan, go with Dreo. No. I am not affiliated with Dreo in any way. Their products are top of the line when it comes to fans. You know Amazon’s wonderful return policy. If you don’t like it, you can easily return it. But… You won’t!

Best fan I've owned, app control is a game changer
I'm pretty deep into the Dreo ecosystem at this point and this fan fits in perfectly with everything else. The app integration is where this really shines. Being able to schedule times for it to turn on and off is super convenient, and the Auto mode that adjusts fan speed based on temperature is great for overnight use. You can also set customizable temperature ranges which is perfect for dialing in exactly how you want it to run. What really sets this apart is the 3D positioning and the fact that I don't have to get up to adjust anything. A lot of times I'll be in bed and want to move the fan, so I just pop open the app on my phone and reposition it. The preset zones feature is clutch for this. I have zones saved for my desk and bed so I can quickly snap the fan back to those spots without fiddling with it. Way better than getting up to manually turn a fan. The customizable oscillation ranges are incredible. You can set it anywhere from 30 degrees all the way up to 120 degrees both horizontally and vertically. So much better than those basic fans that just sweep back and forth mindlessly. Living in Hawaii the cooling is super important and this thing moves a lot of air. Even on lower speeds it's effective and the airflow feels natural, not harsh or choppy. Higher speeds are powerful when you really need to cool down a space fast. The quiet operation is legit. At 25dB it's basically silent even when running overnight. I've had fans that sound like jet engines but this one I can barely hear. Perfect for sleeping or working without background noise. Build quality feels solid, it's not some cheap plastic thing that's gonna fall apart. The remote is responsive and the controls make sense. Setup was quick, connected to the app right away. Honestly one of the best purchases I've made for dealing with the heat. If you already have Dreo stuff this is a no brainer but even if you don't it's worth getting into their ecosystem.

Lots of features while being energy efficent
I was comparing this to the Vornado 733DC since both use DC power instead of AC and are also of similar size. This one has more features while costing considerably less! I've never owned the 733DC but I have no regrets purchasing the Dreo. I looked up online for any videos regarding this specific Dreo circulator and apparently the lowest speed only uses 4 WATTS yet moves A LOT of air (thank you Matthias random stuff). Noise is insanely quiet on the lowest setting and you barely hear the motor running, even on the highest speed. All you hear is just the sound of air being blown. Love the fact that I can use the app, the remote control, or the controls on the base of the stand to change how the fan blows air. It's pretty versatile in that regard, although the app is required if you want to do some fine-tuning. Build quality is fine. Sometimes the fan does creak a little bit when it's turning but it doesn't happen frequently. I do wish the remote control had lights in it, or raised bumps to let me know which button is which if I want to change something in the dark without using the app. So far one of the best purchases I've made since it made my summer a lot more bearable while consuming very little energy.

Happy purchase.
Had woowoo fan from big box store and wanted more control over oscillation. This DREO is impressive. Fan works great without requiring any apps. I know people don't like "apps" but it really elevates the function by including customizable schedules and timers, oscillation patterns, logic for temperature-based fan speed, ability to shut off fan if not home. It's also quiet for the air it pushes and speed1 uses very little power. I air dry my clothes on speed1. The woowoo fan from big box would only oscillate in the outline of a square missing the entire middle. This DREO correctly oscillates the entire area of a square all points within. It also calibrates itself if someone manually moves it. There isn't a rigid worm gear that will break if something manually moves the fan. Now that I have this my only regret is not buying the pedestal version because my furniture situation lessens the power of this fan and its ability to point itself into different rooms using logic. I will get a small stool, though. The included physical remote could use some redesign if like me you turn it on in the dark, but now I use the app on an old phone. The barrel connector for the power could also maybe recess deeper into the base. I also don't know what that ring on the back is for. ps I learned about this from Matthias Wandel if you want to see some technical points and energy numbers. pps I liked it so much I eventually bought a second one. pppss I feel like I need to say I bought this and didn't get a free one.

Very satisfied. Easy controls. Quiet at fan speeds 1 - 5, noisier at speeds 6 - 9. Silent motor.
I have had the fan for several months now. I can’t comment on its multi-year longevity but I am very satisfied with its performance so far. The manual controls consist of six touch buttons in the base: power, fan speed, horizontal oscillation range, vertical oscillation range, mode, and timer. Values or settings are shown on an LED display on the fan supporting column. These functions are duplicated on the remote control unit. The controls work as follows: * Fan speed: nine speeds. At speeds 1 - 3 I can comfortably read a book or snooze within five feet of the fan. There is a slight background wind noise from the fan blades. At speeds 4 and 5 I can still read or snooze but the wind noise is more noticeable. At speeds 6 - 9 the wind noise is too high to allow reading or napping nearby. All these sounds come from the air passing through the fan blades. The motor is almost silent. I mostly use fan speed 3. Even at this speed, the air circulation within the room is very good and I have installed the fan in a combination living room - dining room with dimensions approximately 35 feet (11 meters) long x 17 feet (5.5 meters) wide x 15 feet (4.5 meters) ceiling height. I have never found a need to use a fan speed greater than 5. * There are four angle settings for vertical oscillation and five settings for horizontal oscillation. The vertical oscillation ranges are 0, 30, 60, and 90 degrees. The horizontal oscillation ranges are 0, 30, 60, 90, and 120 degrees. In both cases, at a setting of “0” the fan will maintain the angle or setting that you can manually set by adjusting the fan on its column before starting the fan. * Timer: nine settings 0 - 9 hours at one hour intervals. At a setting of “0” the fan runs continuously until you turn it off. The fan is advertised as being able to start / stop by clock settings. This can only be done if you download the Dreo fan control app onto your cellphone. I have not done this, so I cannot comment on how easily this feature works.

Truly Impressive Fan
The reason I bought this was for the low noise level. Having owned lots of fans, from cheap to expensive (Dyson), this blows all of them away (no pun intended). I live in Arizona, so having moving air around you is key to comfort and having a loud fan noise in the room is irritating and distracting. The Dreo is quiet and unobtrusive. You don't notice it - yet it moves the air beautifully, with two axis movement (vertical and horizontal). The key to the quietness is exceptional engineering. First, it uses a DC motor, which is quieter than AC, second, all the components are shrouded in an aerodynamic shell - so there is smooth laminar air-flow. Anothewords, there is nothing to disturb the air flow and create turbulence, and therefore noise. Other features that I like include the sleek cabinet, digital display, touch-controls, variable speeds (1-9) and a simple intuitive remote. If that weren't enough, this is also controllable via a phone app. Genius! The grill is also designed to come off easily for cleaning. I like this so much, I am buying another.

Yes, it's just a fan, but . . .
A review for a fan? In this case, yes. It's not just your ordinary fan. My menopausal wife requires a constant breeze directly on her at night. The last fan was just too noisy for me, so I searched for "quietest fan" and found the Dreo. I'd never heard of it, but took the reviews to heart, (even though I often don't always trust them) and bought one. I use a decibel meter with my line of work, so I measured the noise. It's amazingly quiet to the ear, and to the meter. It barely registers over the usual room noise. Our room noise in the living room is about 39db. This includes the noise from the kitchen refrigerator and the sounds of the crickets and birds outside. Turning on the fan to 4 with oscillation only bumps it up to 40db. Of course you can hear it but it's such a soft, subdued sound it's negligible. Plus it puts out an amazing amount of breeze even at settings 3 or 4. Sure it goes to 11 (10 actually), but that's not necessary for us. The oscillation feature, which is both horizontal and vertical, is very effective. It really circulates the air in the room, allowing a nice bump up in the AC temp setting. How long will it take to recoup my investment? I'd guess a couple months during a hot and humid Midwestern US summer. Is it worth $100+? We think so. Pretty sure you'll find it's the best fan you've ever purchased. We don't use the included remote because we have enough remotes laying around, plus the app is great and works flawlessly. Excellent product! Highly recommended.
