Great kit!
I'm very satisfied with this kit! This is my first buck and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The cutout is a little tedious but doable for a first timers diy.

It's tricky to get the holes in the right place
Can produce a good result. These look pretty great when viewed from the front. The side view reveals the cover not being tight against the board and the cut needed to fit the antlers. I'll note that I didn't find it easy to put the cuts to make the holes for the antlers. In fact, I ruined one of the covers. However, that made it easier, since I use the ruined cover as a template. I put the template over the antlers once they're attached, and enlarge the holes as needed and shrink them where needed using electrical tape. Then I place the template over a new cover and mark the holes.

Plaques are REAL wood and are easy to assemble and mount your antlers to.
The wood for this plaque is real walnut. The cover for the skull plate was some type of rubberized material, which made it easy to trim and fit up over the skull plate and mount to the plaque. After drilling holes thru the skull plate, I located them on the plaque and marked the hole locations. I then pre-drilled small thru-holes, which made installing the skull plate mounting screws much easier. I have already purchased both the walnut and oak mounting kits and I spent about 1/2 hour on each one. The results are great and I will be ordering a couple more.

Disappointing
It is a little disappointing that I have to cut it for my antlers. It would be better if it was pre-cut. Other than that, it’s great.

It’s ok.
Did the job. Made it work. But….i found it a bit cheaply made. Basically a piece of rubber as a cover. Found it somewhat challenging to cut the holes. The wood plaque was pretty nice.

High quality and easy for a do it yourself project. My husband has been so impressed he bought it two more times!!

looks good
Pretty easy to do and turned out great considering. I didn't want to spend alot of money on a head mount from the taxidermist so i'm happy with this. Would recommend and will probably make another one for my next buck.
