Buy A Therapeutic Treasure Deck of Feelings and Sentence Completion Cards by Treisman Clinical Psychologist trainer & author, Dr. Karen (ISBN: 9781785923982) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: A vital part of my therapeutic teaching treasure chest of resources. - I had heard from another outreach teacher about these lovely cards and decided to purchase some to use with primary children I work with who are disengaged or excluded from learning and schools. From day one, they were so useful and enabled children to show how they felt and express feelings about school and people in their life in a creative and enjoyable way. I use them in sessional work as well as a reviewing and planning tool for my work and to inform reingagment work with schools. They are beautiful and the children love working with them. Children of any age who are struggling to express and articulate emotions about things in their life, and in particular about how school and their community of learning, fit into their lives and in turn benefit and enrich their lives, can work with teaching and support staff using these cards. The scope for use is endless and one session I did recently used only three to identify small steps of progress and perceived areas of strength and weakness beyond out session, which could be celebrated and supported within their usual school and learning environment. Awesome! Review: Love this! - Absolutely love this. It is a handy piece when working wih children.

Good tool for communicating
I use the cards with my son as an extra tool for communication, usually at bedtime. They have opened up some interesting topics and given me an insight as to what/how he's feeling/thinking, sometimes surprising me. He likes them (he's 9) and does a few most nights. The box they come in is sturdy and the cards themselves are hard wearing and look nice.

Beautiful quality and very versatile
Absolutely brilliant! Finally, a good quality resource that saves the time spent on making my own, whilst also providing everything I need. The feelings cards are broad, varied and descriptive with beautiful quality illustrations depicting animals - a nice change from human or cartoons of human faces. This is especially helpful for young people who struggle to relate various feelings to themselves and really feels like it bridges a gap. The sentence starters are also varied, ranging from favourite colours and films to topics that are much more sensitive. As well as covering some of the suggested tasks in the enclosed leaflet and the book also by Treisman, we have adapted a few traditional card games using the feelings cards instead. A great way of expanding student vocabulary and awareness of different emotions.

Very versatile and engaging set of cards
The set is in fact two packs in one, feelings and sentence completion. The illustrations are just the right level of detail to make them equally suitable for young children and older teenagers and to avoid them being too 'busy'. If you also have the book 'A Therapeutic Treasure Box' you can print small black and white versions of the cards from the PDF link that the book comes with. As well as the activity ideas in the little booklet in the box it is very easy to make up your own activities. Have found the cards a very powerful tool so far and parents and children love them.

Excellent resource, very helpful
Excellent set of cards - used so far to gain voice of the child around a difficult subject, explored feelings and gained a good understanding as a result. Easy to use - designed for ages from primary to late teens. Excellent resource- very helpful.

This is the best investment I have made in a long time!! They are so colorful and the questions and feelings are not like others. They are presented in a way kids like to respond. I can't say enough positive things about these. I hardly ever give feedback but can't pass this one up. I can't wait for her to offer more items. Thank you very much!

A useful tool for eliciting conversation

My wife uses these therapy cards in sessions with younger children. She was excited to use the sentence completion cards with clients who suffered from anxiety. Her clients found it difficult to open up and speak about their home and school life. In using the sentence completion cards, she discovered the kids were talking more openly about different topics, and she discovered more information about how they were feeling. The therapy session became fun whilst using these handy cards. They are well made and will last a long time.

Awesome to support holistic therapy for little children, teens, and adults. I recommend this precious tool.

They're a good idea but really under-developed in actuality. The 'Feeling' cards are only 1/3 of the deck. And there are so many complex feelings NOT included.
