SITKA Gear for 2019 CORE Lightweight Hoody

I ordered this item for my grandson and he loves it.

Usually a big proponent of this brand, however… I would go one size up due to the sleeve length. I’m a 16.5-35 shirt and the sleeves were just a bit short for me while trying to maintain full coverage for turkey season. I also found myself needing an extra face mask due to the fact that the included hoody seemed to skimp on material as well.Thankfully they have the thumb loop to keep the sleeve down but it did pull (annoy) after a while because of the shorter sleeve. For what we pay in buying Sitka Gear, I wouldn’t expect them to cheap out on adding the appropriate amount of material.Not their best work.

I bow hunt here in Florida 5 minutes from home. I have hunted all bow season washing my clothes before the morning hunt in scent free soap and then I come home and wash them before the evening hunt. So far the clothes have not shrunk or faded in the wash still good as new. Also they are cool to hunt in during Florida bow season when it’s still 90 degrees out.

Used this for this past turkey season and it performed wonderfully. Great as an outside layer on hot days towards the end of the season or as a base layer for cold days in the beginning. With this hoody being the only top layer I was wearing I easily called one in to 10 yards standing in some grass around chest high.

This was the most efficient article of Lightweight hunting gear I’ve ever purchased! It worked phenomenally. Wicked away sweat, masked odor and the rangefinder pocket is a nice plus. I would definitely purchase again. Originally I was skeptical due to the lightweight nature and the price tag, But this item has become a standard base layer for most of my hunts.
