35 dollars! The price to quality is insane, if you're thinking about getting one either for you or as a gift this one here is a serious contender. I've never typed on a mechanical keyboard, I thought it wasn't worth paying a little or a lot extra for a mechanical one, I've always used membrane keyboards, the typical office mushy feeling typing experience and one kinda gets used to it. But there's a ton to like here! -This brown switches are a dream to type on: Soft and quiet enough with a nice feeling that you'll be familiar with but new enough to keep you interested in using it. -The keyboard in itself is hefty: I was expecting the typical cheap lightweight plastic but no, this keychron one is quite heavy for the size, feels like it's worth much more. -The red LEDs are a nice touch: It has effects and you can turn it off completely, however the legends of they keys are not very visible with the LEDs turned off, if you want a stealthy keyboard then good!.You can decrease the brightness, so if you want a gamer look or just enough to see the letters it has you covered. -You can customize it: You can program and remap the keys if you're into making this keyboard unique for you (I have yet to use this feature) Okay so enough praise, the stuff that could improve, taken into account this is a cheap keyboard! -The layout: It takes a bit getting used to it, I'm personally not a fan of the TKL layout, I sometimes need the full numpad, I think having a numpad version would improve the full size market, not a lot of good budget and quality 90% keyboards. - The height of the keyboard itself: It's chonky if you're used to thinner low profile office style keyboards this one may result uncomfortable for a while, get a wrist rest that has some padding so it can elevate them for a more natural typing experience. Wished this one came with a detachable wrist rest. -A wireless version of this keyboard would be amazing, sure at this budget price imposible but they really got something here if they choose to improve it. -A white version with RGB! It would look amazing and not so gamery. -A version with hot swappable switches, the modding community would really appreciate a keyboard this cheap and good with a gasket mount with a hot swap feature This are more like suggestions if Keychron does decide to improve this keyboard. If you do choose to buy it you won't regret it, seriously is that good. EDIT: Unfortunately the letter "G" it's now presenting some fails intermitently, can't change the switch without disasembling and soldering another one so that's unfortunate, hopefully it does't get worse over time.

I really like this keyboard. I'm not a gamer, but I do like to write a lot. I wanted a keyboard that was more responsive, where the keys physically depress without much effort -- the way keyboards used to be. I'm a horrible typist (I hunt and peck with two fingers), and I find I have a much harder time with the newer keyboards. The keys don't depress very far, which made my already-numerous typos that much worse. This keyboard is exactly what I was looking for. It has a terrific "feel" as you type. It reminds me of the keyboards from the 1980s and '90s. It makes a solid "clickety-clack" sound as you type, sort of like a typewriter. Some people may not like that, but I do. I'm not sure if it would be ideal for an office environment with irritable co-workers present, but for personal use, I love it. It works seamlessly with both Mac and Windows operating systems. In fact, there is a light telling you which system the keyboard is set to. You can easily transition between the two. For those who use Macs, the familiar "command" logo is present on the ALT key. There has been absolutely no learning curve for me to adjust to this keyboard. I can still copy and paste seamlessly using keyboard commands. On mine, the keys are black except for the ESC, SPACE and ENTER keys. However, the package comes with black alternatives if you prefer all your keys to be the same color. Personally, I like the aesthetic of having a few of the keys red. Mine also has a red backlight. By pressing two keys, you can change the backlight so that it flashes in various patterns. There are several. One moves back and forth in a wave, and there's even one that "spirals" among the keys. It's pretty cool. I'm not sure how often I'll use it, but it looks neat, especially in the dark. You also can turn off the backlight completely if you don't want it. Note, there is not a ten-key, but I personally don't need one. I think there is a model from this company that includes it, though, if you really want one. All in all, this was exactly what I was looking for. The keyboard is responsive with a solid sound and a solid feel. I make far fewer typos, because the keys actually depress when you touch them. My feeling is, if you liked keyboards from the '80s and '90s -- and even if you liked typewriters -- then you'd like this keyboard. I feel like the price is decent for what you get.

good keyboard, great quality and feel. it does have a bit of chassis flex to it but honestly its nothing major and not noticeable when typing or using it normally. And for the price its an amazing deal. 100 percent recommend.

I've had the keyboard for a little over a week and the experience has been pleasant. Previous to this I had been using a membrane keyboard (due to working late at night) for typing and gaming. Prior to that I used to own a few mechanical keyboards (blue, red, brown switches). For the price this keyboard is awesome and the base feels solid. The backlit red LEDs are bright enough for day use, and awesome for nighttime use. The type C cable included feels a little thin, cheap and not that long. the cable gets the job done. The typing experience is pleasant. The switches are advertised as as brown switches, they definitely have a slight tactile bump, but the actuation force is similar to that of red switches. My older brown switch keyboard has a heavier actuation force. These browns in the keychron c3 do just feel like sandy red switches. The sound from the typing is pleasant, it doesn't sound like your hitting a a cheap piece of plastic. I do wish there was a steeper angle on the feet but that's ok. Overall I would buy this keyboard again for the price of $36, I would even recommend it to someone getting into mechanical keyboards.

A few things worth sharing about this keyboard: 1. The USB cable can be routed to come out of the back of the keyboard, or out of the left or right side near the back. This is a very thoughtful feature. 2. The keys themselves are very smooth when pressed, and low noise. 3. The rubber feet on the bottom provide excellent grip on the desk, and the keyboard does not slide around. 4. Software is available at the manufacturer's website to customize the keys, and to create macro functions. The software customization potential is amazing for this. Overall, this is an excellent product. I don't have any issues with it.

In a perfect world, you could find every product that has the full list of features you are looking for. Thickish keycaps with just enough clack, that I can replace if I want. High quality brown style tactile switches. TKL format so I have my full function keys Distinct arrow keys isolated from the rest Some sort of backlighting that doesn't fail in sunlight A wire. I don't want wireless. And this is perfect. The backlighting is red, which is visible in the day, and soft on your eyes at night. The typing feel is great. The weight is perfect. It's substantial, but it's not so heavy you bend your wrist moving it with one hand. I can't really think of anything I'd improve. Maybe soft white backlighting, but I think I actually prefer the red. It matches all my synths glowing nearby. The best part, none of the terrible "alien space font" the other mechanicals in this price bracket seem to have. Instead they are crisp, easy to ready, normal letters. This keyboard seems to exist to show those folks, often selling keyboards for the same price, all the things they did wrong. That makes it a pretty good value considering. Typing on it now, I'm impressed with how quiet yet how good it feels. The doubleshot abs keycaps aren't going to satisfy the folks that want the serious "thok" of PBT, but they are chunky enough to feel good and still have good clack. Unless RK is still selling some, there are no retail keyboard with PBT anymore. You are buying one, and adding them yourself. This would be a good keyboard for that.

I use this keyboard for work: typing text, software development and the like. It works great. The clicks are perhaps a bit loud if I were in an office, but are just right for home-office use. The tactile feedback is great when typing at full speed. This keyboard is solid and heavy -- in a good way. My prior keyboard was a plastic: I had to use a mouse pad to keep it in place and to avoid the keyboard banging around the desk under heavy use. This keyboard, being solid and with substantial rubber feet, says put on the desk and doesn't rattle. For a non gamer, the lighting effects are a bit unnecessary. However, with the solid red backlight the labels on the keys have a subtle clarity that you don't get from printed labels. Plus, the labels don't wear off as on cheaper keyboards. The only exception are the white labels on the function keys for things like brightness, etc. These are starting to wear off on frequently-used keys. Not a problem for me since I only use the function keys as function keys. I've used this keyboard daily now for many months: it is going strong, so it seems high quality. In short, although this is a "gaming keyboard", it is perfect for work use. At the price, there is no reason to settle for a plastic keyboard.

I have been using WASD for years (I will always be a fan) BUT my buddy lent me his new Keychron K8 Pro and I loved it. It had their brown switches with their modified and textured OEM profile key caps. I really wanted to try one for longer but wasn't ready to fork over another 200 bucks for a nerdy-preference-based purchase of a yet another keyboard. 1. I prefer the 60% minimal keyboard (WASD VP3) but was getting frustrated that the normal mode navigation key sequence (up, down, left, right cursor keystroke) were different from my vim navigation keystrokes and I couldnt change it That is fixed with this keyboard's VIA programming support. And now my arrow keys are for music navigation and volume. 2. I am not a fan of the Cherry profile with the slick ABS key caps on my WASD. Though I did not realize that until I felt the textured modified OEM caps on my friend's Keychron K8 Pro. This keyboard has double shot shine-through legend key caps with brown switches and textured ABS (as opposed to slick ABS). They feel nice. Though I did order a set of SA profile, PBT, shine-through keycaps to swap out with. 3. The north facing backlight LEDs and the shine through textured keys were a must for me and come with this keyboard. My friend's K8 Pro did not have this (the K8 has opague legends and south facing LEDs so you would not want to try switching for shine-throughs anyway). It did have the nice profile and key texture. And I don't need a pulsing rainbow of color effects. The red on this keyboard is prefered and I only use the solid, all-on effect. So this keyboard was perfect! 4. The 'thonking clack' of these keys, switches and sound insulation backing is very satisfying and less annoying to my coworkers than my WASD (even with their insulators). I also find that my typing is more precise and noticably faster. 5. I was worried about not having the solid heft of a metal chassis with this keyboard but when it arrived it did not matter. It still had that solid heft that feels quality. 6. I did not care that this keyboard was not equipped with bluetooth. I use my keyboards wired . All around: I really enjoy this keyboard. Rare find for this price and will likely make it the default keyboard for new employees and extras around the office.

Fast and comfortable

Por sus materiales se siente como si fuera un jueguete o una cubeta. Sin embargo, se trabaja muy bien en él. Es un muy buen teclado a un muy buen precio. Yo lo uso en mac y tras personalizar un par de teclas estoy pudiendo trabajar en él a la perfección. Eso sí, no es un teclado en español; y como tal hay que acostumbrarse a tener el acento junto a la tecla enter y a que la tecla enter sea horizontal y que no abarque las 2 líneas de los teclados en español.

*Edited to add most recent updates* Keys have become a little wonky, especially the WASD since I use those the most as a gamer. 2/5 annoyed, 5/5 disappointed* I loved everything about this keyboard, from the price point to the feel of the keys and switches. GREAT THOCKS. The whole keyboard was also heavier than I expected - which was good in my books. However, I only started using it in early October (less than 2 months now) and I just noticed that there's already some wearing down of the WSAD keys. I do play some games but it's just a casual few days a week. I expected some wear to the keys for sure, though definitely not this soon. Even the E and R keys are already more smoothed out than its neighbours. Can't say I wasn't disappointed, but I guess I should have expected this from the price.
