A great budget gaming mouse
I bought this mouse for MMO gaming with - I've had a few mice over the years with more than the two basic buttons, and this is the ONLY one I'd re-purchase if it ever goes faulty. Its extra buttons are all easily programmable from the little application that it ships with. The mouse is well built, and solid feeling i.e. the scroll wheel has a definite smoothness to it, it doesn't spin wildly too fast, is made from a sort of sticky plastic (so if your hands are a bit sweaty, it doesn't slip - maybe TMI but it's a practical consideration if you're gaming for a few hours) and the buttons don't feel flimsy. You can also control the weight of the mouse itself by adding or removing silver weights to the inside. In general, I don't think I've come across a better gaming mouse, and I've previously gone through a range of brands over the last few years (a few Logitech mice - don't like the scroll wheels on them, they're too delicate, plus various Microsoft ones and a couple of Razer mice, and a heap of lesser known branded ones in the years I've been gaming). When you consider the above, you should bear in mind that it's one of the cheapest mice I've ever purchased. One of the few products I've been so impressed with that I wanted to add this review, even though I don't normally bother on Amazon. If you're looking for a solid gaming mouse, but you're on a tight budget, or disillusioned with the expensive end of the mouse market, and aren't sure what to try next, give this one a shot.

Top class Gaming mouse for the best price ever.
This Gaming mouse is hands down the best value for money I have ever seen. It is a top tier gaming mouse with all the features you can ask for. It has 8200dpi, nearly 4 times the precision other gaming mouse have that cost up to 3x as much as this mouse does. The programme that comes supplied to it is super easy to use and set up macros with and within a couple of minutes you can map anything to your liking, perfect for my gaming needs! What I love the most is that the LED light is fully customisable, you can set the colour and even the rate at which the logo "breaths." The customisable weights allow you to fine tune the mouse's weight characteristics to your liking (personally I set it to the heaviest possible as it is perfect for sniping). In terms of ergonomic feel, the mouse is a perfect size for my hands, I usually found that many mice are too small for my liking but this one fit the bill perfectly, not only that but the textured feel the mouse has makes the mouse wonderful to operate as it just perfectly sculpts to your hand shape. I highly recommend you invest in this mouse, as at this price point and the features you are offered, this in my opinion is the best mouse on the market at the moment. I have even recommended this to many of my friends, who have purchased this as well.

Great Gaming Mouse for the price with a few very minor caveats.
I have been using this mouse for a few days now - mostly it was purchased to play World of Warcraft Classic with.Generally the mouse is of high quality material for the price. I suppose I should say that everything in this review should be taken with a view to the price of this product because despite one or two small flaws this mouse is tremendous value - for the price. Yes there are better gaming mice out there but they will cost many times more. The mouse worked right out of the neatly packed frustration free box (see picture).Once I was happy everything was working I typed in the URL from the manual to download the user interface software for the mouse. It took me to a page that didn't load. Not great but maybe the manual was just out of date as printed material has to be printed way in advance so maybe the website address had changed. Anyway a big of Googling had me locate the correct software (see pic). The one for my mouse was GM269-BLACK-V2. It installed and everything worked well. The software allows you to set macros, customise the RGB lighting, the DPI and much more. Very impressive for a less than £12 mouse. The only caveat I should share is the software tries to load at Windows startup and every time it does Windows asks for permission at least once and sometimes twice. This gets annoying after a while. My solution was to get the settings of the mouse as you like them then disable the software from starting with windows. It seems to save the settings even when the software isn't running so its only a minor annoyance. As a whole the mouse feels good in the hands - if anything I have relatively small hands for a bloke and it feels slightly bigger than what I am used to but not uncomfortably so.In essence the mouse does what it says on the tin and works well.Edit: After about a weeks worth of use the middle wheel has developed a slight squeaking noise (hey it is a mouse after all!) when being rolled. In no way does it affect the functional operation of the mouse and I hope it will go away after the mouse beds-in with use.

Amazing quality, amazing price.
It was a shocker to me how much quality was provided with such an amazing price tag.The mouse fits my hand perfectly, and I can't let go due to how comfortable it is, the 9 programmable buttons work and are quite responsive, the customizability of the mouse is truly the strong point of this mouse. And the response of the mouse itself is perfect as well. You can customize everything, from what the buttons do, to the weight of the mouse, the DPI of the mouse can be altered through the easy-to-use software (50-8200 DPI), you can even customize scroll speed, acceleration, polling rate and the light on the back of the mouse and not to forget the two profiles you can modify, which can be used for gaming, art, and casual desktop use.The only gripes that I could think of with this mouse are that not all the lights are programmable, only the logo which you won't see most of the time because your palm will be covering it, although this light does help to show which profile you're using. There's also the fact that you can't program the buttons to appear as ordinary mouse buttons (they have to be a replacement for a keyboard button), this could be useful for games that are compatible with more than 3 mouse buttons. (might be something I'm missing in the software)Definitely 5/5 stars since those little gripes don't mean anything when everything else is perfect and the price is £10 (at the time of purchase). Definitely a must buy.

Amazing Value.
Firstly, the mouse was delivered extremely fast, in just 2 days, so I didn't have to sit and wait for it, as my previous mouse was broken and I had no secondary mouse. Now to the mouse, the customisability of this mouse is great. They provide you with a software, which allows you to change the functions of the buttons. Also it allows for the modification of the colours the "T" logo produces, with a wide range of colours, they make sure your favourite is in there. You get 2 profiles to customise, where you can instantly change in between whenever you need, with just a click of a button. In the profile, you can edit the range if 4 DPI choices, colour and many other things. Now to the design of the mouse. This mouse is so comfortable. When you grasp it, the contours pave the way your your fingers perfectly, so you can relax and let the mouse handle it. The side buttons are not in the way of your thumb. In several other mice I bought, where the mouse was up to 4x this, the side buttons were always in the way, resulting in me pressing on it during a game. Moreover, it is very well built with strong plastic and smooth suede like covering for the parts your fingers touch. The laser inside the mouse is extremely precise. When you pick 5000 DPI, you get true 5000 DPI with no mistake. It never hangs or lags. All things considered, this mouse is extremely good value for the price. I will biy several more to gift to my friends. I would highly recommend this mouse, as it matches mice that are several times its price.

Fantastic for The Price!
I have tried a range of mice over the last few years and was a bit pre-preemptive of this one due to the claim of very high performance at such a low price. However, this product does what many have failed and that's perform fantastically.First off packaging. The mouse comes packaged rather well in the post and the box for the mouse itself is rather plain cream, but very clean looking, giving the impression of a high quality product.First off, the bad. The grippy area seen around the foward / back buttons is not present on the other side of the mouse and instead it is glossed plastic. This does bring the issue of sweat and grime into play, but can be lived with after a while. My other major gripe with this mouse is the inability to disable or change the scrollwheel light. This would have made the product near enough perfect in terms of appearance to me.Now, the good. The control panel software that comes with the mouse is very easy to use, allowing you to setup DPI settings for the mouse, ranging from 800 to 8200 and save them as profiles, you are, however, only allowed 2 profiles, which is ok for me personally, but others may find this an issue. There are also settings available to customize the light colour at the back of the mouse, under the tecknet logo, with virtually any colour, and set the pulse rate for the light. All of the buttons on the mouse can also be set to a different key press or key combination, this can also be saved under a profile along with the DPI settings. For a person with big hands, I find this mouse to be just the right size and be more than usable, with the buttons being firm enough for you to not accidentally click them. This mouse is also able to record macro key presses as well, however I have not personally used this.

It'll do
I recently purchased this mouse after my old Logitech G9 broken. I didn't really realize how wonderful and simple my G9 was until I purchased this mouse. The TeckNet X9800 is a beautiful mouse, ergonomically, it's extremely comfortable, lovely generous size, very customizable in terms of the backlight, DPI and buttons and the best part is what a freakin' bargain it is! (75% off!)This mouse is fantastic, but unfortunately it's just not for me. In terms of size, although I am a female with large hands, it is a tad too big, but for males, I think it's probably a lovely size. The biggest flaw of this product that is a total deal-breaker is the left & right click buttons... They're stiff, they're not ludicrously stiff, but when you're playing a game like League of Legends and you're using the right click button hundreds if not thousands of times per match, my hand and arm start to really ache. I feel that I have to push down quite hard, it doesn't feel abnormally stiff, but for a gaming mouse, I prefer the clickers to be very light and sensitive so that I can incessantly click to my heart's content. As I've said, it's a beautiful mouse, I would definitely recommend it, but unfortunately, I won't be using it for much longer.------Edit:Call me fickle, but I'm changing my mind. I don't really like this mouse. Trust me, it's a LOT better than other mice that I've used and it's fabulous for the price, but it's just not for me. I would recommend it because it's extremely high value and it's okay if you don't have my freakish sense of perfectionism or attention to detail, but I don't really like it.Cleaning my room, I found my old, broken mouse that I used to use. I put my hand over it and started clicking. WOW! I forgot how amazing it felt and it made me realize how much of a downgrade this is.The clickers are TOO stiff. I hoped they would loosen in time, and perhaps they have, but I miss my old, sensitive the old buttons were.As I mentioned: When you're in a game and you're clicking hundreds/thousands of times, it makes your arm/hand ache to click click click with this mouse. You can't click rapidly, it's just too rigid, so I've learned to moderate and slow down my clicks, which sucks, but you can't have everything you want for a bargain.Sorry for the mixed messages. It sounds odd for me to say "I don't like it, I recommend it, it's good! Great value, but it doesn't feel nice."I'm simply saying it's not for me. I'ma knock a star off.Buy this mouse if you need a high value, good quality gaming mouse. Fabulous bargain, but if you are VERY precise and perfectionistic about exactly what you want, this probably isn't for you.Would recommend it.

Nice Mouse with Great Programmable Detail
It came in a frustration free package with the mouse and a manual. The mouse can be plug & play to be used immediately. The mouse is light weighted even though it is quite bulky. It is a little bit shorter than my previous mouse and fit to average hand and bigger. Quite ergonomic I would say and has some space for thumb rest to grab the mouse properly. The mouse button 4 and 5 is quite high so quite hard to misclick it. The button all function properly and positioned nicely. You can easily change the DPI with the two buttons above the scroll button. The mouse can be programmed to your suit for the LED colour and set up macro. The software must be downloaded from the Tecknet website then just unzip the file to use it. You can change the colour of the LED to your suit and adjust the intensity of the LED. Not sure how the macro works because I would not be using it. By default each DPI has been assigned to each colour and can be edit using the software. The only problem I have with this mouse is why it has DPI higher than 2400. Would be perfect if it started with 400 DPI and has increment of 400. Overall it is a good mouse with its affordable low price.
