Do the probes last longer then 6 months as stated. That seems very short.

Not sure how long they last, but they are incredibly difficult to calibrate. I stopped using them.

Does this sensor also check for acidic levels in plant soil?

I do not know. It tests for conductivity which is a function of the soil chemistry, but I don't know if acidity is a factor.
