Metal is very pliable.
I like the shape of these salad servers but I was disappointed in how thin the metal is and in the fact that when you serve the salad you can actually feel the pieces bending. I sent them back.

FLAT!!!
these utensils are FLAT, flatter than a pancake. There is no 'cup' like curve in either the spoon or the fork. FLAT...did I say flat? Flat!! Ok you get the point. :) They are very shiny!! :)
