Fun Read Aloud!
Read this book to my Kinder and 1st grade classes and the students loved it! the pictures were very nice and the story is cute and simple. The students all said they wanted to make gingerbread pirates after we finished it. would recommend cute fun Christmas story.

Love this cute Christmas tale.
I found this book years ago at the library and read it to my kids when they were little. They're not little anymore, but the story had delighted me so much and stuck with me through the years that I eventually caved and bought it to have on hand ... for future grandkids, of course. ;)

It's become a favorite around here
Both my 2 and my 5 year old sons love this book. We originally checked it out at the library, but it's become such a favorite book that we bought a copy. Both my boys love looking at the pictures as well as hearing the story. It's requested every night as the bedtime story. At the request of both my boys, we made gingerbread pirate cookies this year. And they each made their own "Captain Cookie" as well as Dots and Wavy. This book is fun and adventurous - just up my boys' alley.

The Gingerbread Pirates is so Cute
This is an adorable story about a boy who created gingerbread cookies for Santa Claus. In only a few pages, the author was able to make the reader care about the Gingerbread Pirates and hope that they survive Christmas Eve.

The kids love this book, it's funny and cute and I'd definitely recommend it for the 2-6 age range for boys.
