Will this remote work on a chamberlain model #41aco50, year 2013?

It should if it has a purple learn button on the main lift unit to be able to program them together

How can i push the purple button if the garage door opener has to be closed first?

With the door closed you should be able to reach the button. I needed to use a stepladder. Press and hold the bar on the new remote and push the purple button. You don't need to hold in the learn button. After it's programed, test by using the remote to open the door.
