Fits Express Water whole house filter housing
Fits great and like to think it’s working accordingly. That’s all that matters.

Works well
I haven't measured anything for a quantitative test, but it appears to be catching stuff. The water flow in our house also seems to be fine. Our water provider supposedly does reverse osmosis for all of our water due to PFAS/PFOS. Well despite that, this filter was brown after a year of use and there was some sediment around it too. I'm glad to have a whole home water filter. You never know what goes on between the water source and your house. I bought some other brand before this and the cap was cracked and it also had a bad seal. This one seems to be made pretty well. I plan to keep buying this one for the foreseeable future.

This system is fantastic
The 2 stage whole house filter system is fantastic. If you are not a plumber DO NOT try to install yourself. From time to time we received notifications about our water quality. I finally said enough and got it. One of the best decisions i ever made for my home. The sediment filter got really brown after not long at all. Looks gross but you know it's doing the job. they say to replace after 6 months, I replaced after 2 as I think the initial install handled so much crap in my water. in the month since the replacement it is barely discolored so I will wait the 6 months. Replacement is easy, follow the directions and make sure they are seated properly, takes 10 minutes.

Visually, Wow, it Works! Couldn't believe what I found in the filter canister.
I first bought this filter to tide me over until I get my two (recycled water softner tanks) carbon tanks installed and on line. Like all good ideas, this is still a pending project. In the mean time I am using the Big Blue Water Filter Activated Carbon Block Filter to filter water for the whole house. After a few months I decided to change it. I couldn't believe what I found when I opened the filter cartridge. The filter was black with sludge and the water in the cartridge looked like the sea water (green) behind my house, (my backyard is the Gulf of Mexico). It made me a believer, county water needs filtering too and this filter does the job.
