Freegin Awesome (Boxer Dog Owner)!
So my first robot vacuum was an original iRobot Roomba many years ago prior to this auto-dump tech. I loved that thing and it still works to this day, however obviously its nearly daily use maintenance was too much for me to do each time. FFWD to now: I live alone with a boxer dog and am gone to work each day so my home's floor was just too much for me to be able to maintain. I decided to invest in a new tech auto-dump technology robotic vac, which would be perfect. Nutshell: after much research and my great experience with iRobot, I decided to order up their latest and greatest, and at "greatest" cost. Supply chain issues delayed delivery for a month, okay, got that. After a month, emailed company just to simply get an update. Did this four or so times over the following month. I received zero, absolutely zero responses, to my utter surprise. Placed two phone calls in to their customer service, and each time after on hold for 45 minutes, I gave up. I was willing to wait - but.... Their product originated in development from the USA, by higher ed students originally afterall. Wellll, suffice it to say I experienced the outsourcing effects of their company. To cancel, I ended up having to go to the lengths of changing my credit card number, updating auto-charges from other providers on that account and it was THEN that I FINALLY heard back from iRobot. Who would want to invest $1300 in a device with zero company customer service response after 4-6 or so tries? Not me. So saddened to see yet another great company to sail off our lands. So I decided to give Shark a try at half the price-I have some of their appliances which have been great. First delivery didn't go well, and that's because I didn't pay attention to the exact model AND the seller. It arrived, I set it up, and the battery would not take a charge. Turns out it was a "previous" model - obviously had sat on some shelf for who knows how long. Returned, and Amazon covered my back on this. More research showed me that that unit wasn't the current model. I decided to order this one which at this time is the CURRENT model, and sold THROUGH Amazon, fully returnable. I can not say enough about this little critter! It's just amazing! This robot vac has made a huge difference to my home. I don't really understand the other reviews' complaints about it's vacumming "noise" be it while operating or on its base in sucking out the bin. It's absolutely no louder than my wired Dyson unit while "sounding like an airplane taking off," for all of less than 10 seconds. To me, the freegin louder it is, the better it's cleaning out the robot! I launched it without even preemptively vacuuming my home- it worked hard and it took a few good cleaning out's to get it more leveled out and that's on me. I made a few changes to my home physically and reset its map by deleting the map (put my couch up on hockey pucks for access-it's about 3.5" tall). It's now re-learning my home and doing a fantastic job after several runs! I can add "high traffic 'rooms' " or areas layed over the top of overall rooms. Contrary to other reviews I've read, probably earlier ones, you can add rooms and name them to your use- I've overlayed "rooms" over larger "rooms." I love this thing! I can't believe it's only been a month of use - I've used the crap out of this thing. No issues and very adaptable. The only thing I look forward to is to be able to program more than one program. You can currently program one session- per day, per week, every each day of your choice, but of your selection of rooms identified including all of the rooms. Can't do an additional sub program of, say, "high traffic areas," which I've added as additional "rooms." I've read that is coming in future software updates. iOS WiFi connectivity is great. Map views when swiping give you more than one historical map of effected coverage. At half the price, "customer service" response remains to be seen (I've not had to), I would recommend this unit. Just make sure you look at current models, and not the older very similar looking models. As with any robotic vac, I'd recommend a home, or shop-use air compressor with regulated output to soften as needed for blowing out all as needed. I also found some great video reviews online that taught me a lot about this model line- very similar responses. By design, one can tell older vs newer units simply by how its dump cannister is designed. The map image I am attaching is one of its first runs of learning, and you can see it did a really good job of coverage for its first attempt. Smaller home in my case but numerous areas-after which I edited rooms, areas and overlayed high traffic areas as additional rooms for double-cleaning. It's been great once my home floor condistions leveled out and the robot can easily cover all areas. Not hard at all- give it a whirl! Hope this helps some. r-

Does the job just fine! I would buy again.
So far, so good. Works as described. I have three dogs ( short-to mid length hair, mastiffs ) and bought this robot to keep the dog hair under control. I did an initial deep vacuum with my upright vacuum (also a shark, highly recommend) and started with the robot the next morning. I run the robot every morning. The robot connects to wifi without any problems. It mapped the area that I intend to use it for. I move any objects that may be in the way, such as bar stools, dog beds, and such. The robot does its thing without any problems. I have bare floors and low profile area rugs. It returns to the dock to empty and resumed its work. I am very happy with the performance. I empty the bin, wipe off the robot with a microfiber cloth after each use to keep it dust free, and it's quick and easy. The only problem that has come about so far, was a piece of wood splinter, from the dog chewing a stick it snuck in the house, stuck in the robot in the space that connects to the base and caused it to not empty but the app let me know there was an issue and I was able to clear it simply with my finger and all was well. It takes about an hour for the robot to clean the area it is mapped for (about 500 sqr. ft around obstacles). The battery still has about 60- 70% of power left when finished. It is new, so I will do an update if that should change. It does not hit or smash into furniture like some of the reviews that I read had said, it was gentle, in my opinion. I have always had great results from all my shark or ninja products. True story.

Good robot vacuum, could be improved.
Long Informational/personal experience review for Shark Stratos 2 in 1 vac mop with power detect. Overall, this vacuum has made maintenance cleaning easier to keep up with. BUT, I would just recommend doing a bit more research on the programming quirks, software nitty gritty type things. I dont like that if I move furniture in one room I cannot just change the map in that room, I have to delete the entire map of my house and let it remap the house for 30 minutes. I also dont like that this model will run anything over if it isn't over 3 inches tall. For example, my dining room table has legs that are connected by a steel bar that runs along the floor (like an old school lawn chair) and the vacuum will run over that bar back and forth dinging up the bottom of it. I also dont like that the mop reservoir does not completely empty back into the base when it is done mopping so it always has a bit of watter sloshing around. Another mopping quirk I dont like is that when its done mopping, for instance mopping the bathroom or entryway, it will then keep the dirty mop pad down leaving a snail trail for dirty mop pad water alllll the way across the house when it goes back to the base. Bathroom & entryway germs spread all across the house. And then there the software bug or default issues. Like recently I have noticed that my robot will be told to clean a spot in the living room, then 10 minutes late I realize that it never did it because it got lost going from the dining room to the living room (a 15 foot journey) and had been going in circles the whole time. It has been doing this quite often, starting about 6 months after getting it. It started with the minor detour then correcting itself, then it turned into it being found on the opposite side of the house when I asked it to vacuum the entryway. Like I said, I didn't expect a perfect robot and it has made things easier, but the annoyances should not be there if I am paying over six hundred dollars for a vacuum. The app is pretty easy to use. Works well on hard wood, tile, and low pile carpet. Works on medium pile carpet too, just now as well. Does pick up hair but it gets caught in the brush and needs to be cut out every so often or it will not vacuum good. Also, it ran over a dryer sheet one time and it got stuck behind the wheel up inside and started running in circles, so I would check that often.

We love our Shark 2-in-1!
We have had a Shark Duoclean vacuum for years, and it's been amazing for cleaning up after twins and multiple cats. But now that we have a much bigger house with lots of wood floors, we wanted to invest in a robot vac. We love our Duoclean so much that we didn't really even research other brands—we just went with what we know and love. And so far, it's paying off big time! We got the Shark AI Ultra Robot 2-in-1 Vacuum and Mop. My twins named her "Emily". The fact that she vacuums AND mops simultaneously is nothing short of AMAZING. Her mapping system is ROBUST. She spent an hour or so exploring our house and mapping it out, then I was able to name each room. You have the ability to set "no-go" zones which the robot will avoid completely, and create carpet zones where she won't go when she has the mop attached. With the app, you can select just a couple of rooms for her to clean, or the whole house. You can also have her "spot clean" any 5 square foot area. She has three cleaning levels: Eco, Normal, and Matrix. We decided against the self-emptying base, for a few reasons: 1. It's SO much more expensive, 2. I read it's really loud and we didn't want it to scare our cats, and 3. It only empties the dustbin—it doesn't do anything for the mopping reservoir. We knew we'd only do a few rooms at a time, so just emptying her dust bin after each run has been totally fine for us. When Emily is just doing her normal vacuum and mop runs, she's pretty quiet—no scared cats! Are there any cons? I'm not sure how well her cliff sensor works—she almost fell down the stairs when she first mapped out the house, but I was there to stop her. But not a big deal, because I created a no-go zone around the stairs. Also she doesn't do spectacularly well on carpets. But she does good enough for me! Overall I am THRILLED that Emily has joined our family!

Helpful little guy
Getting him hooked up to internet was a feat, but I figured it out in the end. I knocked a star off for that circus alone. Also because I was under the impression a bot boundary was supposed to come with it and I didn't get it, but I'm not 100% sure about that so I'm trying not to let it impact the score overmuch. The vacuum itself is amazing. It is a robot vacuum, so obviously it isn't going to be polishing the silver or anything like that, but it gets the worst of the accumulated dust and dirt and pet hair off the floor, and I've noticed a HUGE improvement myself. It's getting better results than I did with my daily sweep, and all while I chill on the couch after work and write this review. Exactly what I was hoping for. Yes, you will still need to take care of your floors yourself, especially if you have something other than hardwood and low pile rugs, but a weekly mop or vacuum with a focus on corners and edges is still league's better than a daily chore. I've only had to cut a small piece of tangled hair off its roller once, after the first couple runs, and considering how much I shed I'm impressed. The only thing left is longevity I think, but I can't speak to that right now. I'm happy! If you're expecting a totally effortless tool then you probably won't be, but if you just want to relieve a bit of the burden and offload the more tedious aspects of the job, I think you'll like this little guy. UPDATE Took a star off because I've started having connectivity issues. Took a couple days to get it communicating again the first time, only to have it go back down about five minutes later. Still down now after a night. Nothing else on the network is having trouble, and the options to try to reconnect him to the internet are...lackluster. To say the least. He's still a good little vacuum, but efficiency does drop a bit without his access to the mapping feature and you do have to babysit a bit more. Still like the vacuum, but exasperated over this problem. Will see how it goes. Edit 3: Well, the connectivity issues returned almost immediately, but I've been using it ever since as best I can. Dropped the rating all the way to one star for it and the lack of company support and responsiveness. This guy will NOT stay connected to the internet, and its such an ordeal getting it connected again that I eventually just gave up entirely. Since that's a primary selling point for the robot, I feel it's worth the criticism. The biggest issue is it is VERY unreliable without that internet connection. It was good with it, but without you'll end up with it cleaning the exact same tiny area for thirty minutes over and over and over again and by the time it's done with its whole run there's still particles on the ground in the spot it was obsessively cleaning and it forgot a whole room. It also likes to fight fans and light stands and anything with a base it can try and climb, and even when you go pull it away and set it loose in the opposite direction it will turn right around and go right back and get stuck again almost immediately. I used to be patient with it, but it really gets on your nerves after awhile. They sell that guard tape stuff separately, but it needs to come included. The slamming and ramming itself into things is really bad. Things get stuck absolutely everywhere on it, too. Not just the roller, but the wheel wells are a big problem. I spend more time doing surgery on it than it spends cleaning, and I do make sure to go around and get big stuff off the ground before turning it on. I still use it because I kind of feel like I have to since I bought it, but it's rapidly not becoming worth it.

My floors have a new full-time 24/7 employee….
I’ve owned and reviewed quite a few Shark product, and there’s a reason I keep coming back to the brand: they make products that actually WORK and they LAST. At this point, Shark has infiltrated multiple areas of my life, from their upright vacuums and floor-care products to their hairstyling tools (FlexStyle and Shark Glam) and even their skincare devices (FacialPro and CryoGlow). I’ve been consistently impressed with the brand across the board, so I had pretty high expectations for the Shark Matrix Robot Vacuum & Mop. It did not disappoint. With two very furry Akitas and a hyperactive German Shepherd mix running around, anything related to floor cleaning gets put through a serious trial by fur in my house. The Shark Matrix is absolutely up to the challenge. The Matrix cleaning pattern is my favorite feature. Instead of wandering around the house looking mildly confused like some robot vacuums I’ve used, this one methodically makes multiple passes over an area. The suction does a fantastic job grabbing dog hair, dirt and everyday debris, and the brushroll is especially appreciated in a house where pet hair could practically qualify as a fourth dog. Then there’s the mopping. It actually feels like the floor is being CLEANED rather than having a damp cloth casually dragged across it. I also love being able to target areas that need extra attention. The mapping is impressively accurate, too, so I can send it where I want it instead of supervising its little cleaning adventure. My Shark upright vacuums have already proven themselves against my furry crew, and I’ve also become a big fan of Shark’s hairstyling products and skincare devices. It’s pretty impressive when a brand can jump from my floors to my hair to my face and somehow keep earning shelf space. 😂 Their combination of thoughtful design, solid performance and useful features keeps me coming back. This little workhorse is also quiet, has long battery life, it's durable (when it occasionally knocks its "head" on a corner wall), and the price? OMG the price was outstanding! Having one machine vacuum AND mop while I’m off doing literally anything else is the kind of household delegation I enthusiastically support. With three dogs, country living and plenty of dirt and fur constantly finding their way inside, my floors are not an easy assignment. The Shark Matrix handles them beautifully. Another Shark winner in my house!

Listen to the pet hair expert
First let’s start off with some clarifications. I have used the roomba vacs with their version of a auto empty feature and after using the shark I can tell some difference. Coming from a guy that has a German shedder (shepherd), pet hair is always a big concern as well as hair wrapping around the roller etc Carpet: don’t expect ANY robot vac to be good with carpet. I own shark standup vacs and they work great on carpet. The robot vacuums (shark or roomba) do not pick up that good on carpet and I don’t care what they say about this new shark version having better suction power, it’s false. I have used this model AV### and the previous model RV###(thanks to a sale at Sam’s club). It’s plain and simple, expect to vacuum your rugs and carpets after this thing is done because hair will be left behind etc. Roomba isn’t any better, same issues with carpet, no robot vacuum has the power to eliminate hair on carpet as compared to a regular standup vacuum. Just don’t have unrealistic exceptions and you’ll be pleased Hardwoods/tile/concrete flooring: this thing works great, and most robo vacs work great on flat surfaces such as hardwood floors etc. I found no difference between the shark and roomba brands when it comes to NON-CARPET areas. Hair warp on rollers: shark is the clear winner here, their roller rarely has hair clumped up in it as you would expect with any vacuum but shark is superior in the area. The roomba has a dual rubber rollers which is nice but can cause hair to wrap or get stuck in the roller rather than being sucked into the dust bin. Noise: this one makes me laugh, it’s a vacuum…a vacuum cleaner is going to be loud regardless. So if you want something quiet..I suggest a dust pan and broom ;). Get over the noise if you want a powerful cleaner and not some cheap version of a robot vac that doesn’t pick up anything In comparison, shark wins! Lower price point which is reasonable, roomba is outrageous for their pricing. If you want to charge that much for a robot vacuum (roomba, almost $800) then you better be able to pick up everything and pet hair on carpet areas. Like I said, none of them are that impressive so don’t get your hopes up. Coming from a pet owner, this shark robot vac is great and helps tremendously with keeping up with all the hair and no hair wrapped in the vac. Worth the money but I would buy the older version because it’s cheaper and the suction power is not any better in my book. Both versions work great on all non carpet surfaces. Only drawback for shark is that they need to update their app. You can only schedule one time per day to run an auto schedule. This needs to be improved to multiple times per day and they will be knocking it out of the park. Very similar features to roomba but needs some slight upgrades on the app. Also you don’t need bags for the auto dispensing home thing for shark. Big plus! Roomba makes you buy these stupid little bags that don’t hold much. Shark is on the right track and I’m sure it will get better and better. Don’t waste your money on roomba, it’s just the name brand we all know and they are ahead in the technology but shark is right behind. Roomba is not work your money, get this shark and save some money, best auto dispensing system to date. Just improve the app a little and make a powerful robot vacuum to clean up pet hair on carpets and you will kill this market share. Thanks for joining my Ted Talk, enjoy your day!

Ease of Replacing a faulty Vacuum
This review is on the ease of getting a replacement. We could not for the life of us get it to work correctly. A 3 minute customer service chat resulted in an immediate replacement. Thank you for the ease an amazing customer service. I will review the vac as soon as the new is up and running.

A Game-Changer for Pet Owners – Highly Recommended!
I live in a two-bedroom apartment with my partner and our five animals – two dogs, two cats, and a bird. Naturally, our floors are constantly covered with fur, dust, and feathers. After spending a lot of time watching YouTube reviews and reading up on different robot vacuums, I decided to go with this one after seeing a demonstration of its power on carpet. Even though we have mostly hardwood floors with only a small area of carpet, the way it handled sand on carpet sold me. That was in February 2024, and now, in mid-February 2025, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. For the first 9 months, we had Rosie, our robot vacuum, on a cleaning schedule for 7am every day, except Sundays. At first, it was perfect. But one unfortunate night, one of our dogs had an accident in the living room. I didn’t even think to check the floor before starting Rosie’s cleaning cycle, and as you can imagine, she ended up spreading the mess all over before heading back to her dock. It took me over two hours to clean up, and Rosie needed about two months to dry out and get back to work. Lesson learned: never schedule cleaning when you have pets! Always inspect the area first before setting Rosie to work. After some time, I was able to clean Rosie thoroughly. I removed the battery and cleaned every part I could without disassembling her completely. With a lot of patience and the help of Q-tips, cleaner, hot water, and paper towels, I managed to give her a proper cleaning. After ensuring she was fully dry (five days, just to be sure), Rosie was back on her daily chores, and everything returned to normal. For the first nine months, I barely needed to pull out my traditional vacuum. I only used a small hand vac to clean behind doors, and within five minutes, I was done. It was so convenient to let Rosie handle the bulk of the work! In conclusion, I’m incredibly happy with this purchase. With five animals, a clean home can be a challenge, but Rosie has made it so much easier to keep everything tidy every day. It’s been worth every penny. If you have pets and need a reliable cleaning solution, I highly recommend this robot vacuum. It’s an investment that pays off in convenience and cleanliness!

Tellement content

Dream machine
Haven't had for very long so don't know how long it will last... I have a back injury thanks to a drunk driver and vacuuming hurts. Got this so that my floors get vacuumed and I feel no pain. I have hardwood floors and it keeps things clean. Sometimes it misses stuff in a corner or too close to the wall but I'm loving it. It does seem to have an issue with getting plugged when it is dumping in it's dock but it's not a big deal to pull out the larger pieces causing the issue. I live on a farm and have a wood cook stove and it's keeping up with the dust/mess that involves. I can't get the remote part to work but think that's a MY PHONE issue and not it's problem. I recommend it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
I will preface this review saying that I own and love my upright shark vacuums. We had Neato robot vacuums in the past and knowing the quality of Shark thought we'd try this out. This is the worst Robert vacuum we have owned!!! It constantly bangs into walls and objects. There's scratches on our walls, furniture and robot from this. It took forever and multiple calls to customer service for it to map properly and go to a specific room. After getting my service call escalated several times I was told all these issues are normal functioning of this model. For an almost $600 vacuum I expect more. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!!!! Because of the time I spend trying to fix the issues, my return window lapsed with Amazon and Shark customer service refused to deal with it.
