Bayer 79649886 Maxforce Complete Granular Insect Bait, 4lbs

Last summer I had good results keeping ants out of the house with the Max Force ant bait stations. So, this year I decided to go with this product and treat the entire perimeter. It seems to be working well; I haven't seen an any in the house for over a month and counting. One caveat: the way application is set up is very wasteful of the product, and at $73/jug this stuff isn't exactly cheap. It's a granular product, and the lid has two openings -- one for shaking through holes (like an over-sized salt-shaker), and the other for pouring. shaking would be the more economical way to apply this. Unfortunately, the way the lid is attached, the shaker holes are at the top, making them impossible to use without loosening the cap -- which then falls off and dumps product everywhere. I ended up using the "pour" side of the lid, which did face downward -- but ultimately I ended up applying a lot more than I probably needed. It does wipe out the ants, though. If they designed a better distribution lid for this, I would give this product five stars. ETA: October 30, 2023: This stuff works great. Kept my home ant-free for four months now. I'm anticipating that the fall rains will wash any residual product away, so I plan on re-applying in the spring. They still need to improve the application method, but even so, I highly recommend this product. My home has not been completely ant-free for this long, in years. Five stars for effectiveness.

I was a long time pest control operator. Maxforce granular was a go to oriental roach/rusty red roach/German roach bait. It simply works. A little slow but works it does. I used this product habitually for oriental/rusty red outside roaches. And if you have these roaches now that the summer heat has started...don't pay an overpriced pest control company that wants you to sign a years worth of poor service...buy this...follow directions....use with confidence...inside garage and outside all around. Dead roaches will start being found shortly if the lizards or birds don't get to the dead roaches first..!! Also...you can use this bait for German inside roaches using under kitchen sinks and under refrigerators and under stoves/ranges. German roaches will not shy away from this bait. Works. But slow due to German roaches being sometimes everywhere in a kitchen etc. There you have a true review from a real pest control operator though I am now retired!!! HOORAY!

Needed to rid 3 Large Red Harvestor Ant Beds with major trails and harvest area. Gone Over night. Going on 8 Days now. Tried everything before including spraying Dish Soap and Off the Shelf Insecticide plus Amdro. Also tried covering with black plastic. The Queens kept producing and workers kept being born until I used this on all 3 beds. I noticed when the population of the 3 beds vanished there was a 4th bed in my next door neighbor's driveway that also vanished. Lead me to believe these ants communicate with other nests somehow. Now for those pesky fire ants Update Its been over 6 months and no Harvest Ants. Fire Ants that live in my area do not respond to this. Also, this IS pet safe. Had a dog taste it and nothing happened. They didnt bother it again. Highly Recommend for Harvest Ants.

I live on the edge of the woods and every summer I get ant mounds protruding into my yard. This granular bait is perfect! I sprinkle some around the mound, and not on it, and usually by the next day the mound is no longer active and it stays that way. The container is large enough that I don't run out quickly and it keeps me out of contact with the actual bait for my safety. A small price to pay to keep the ants at bay!

I had some compost delivered and the fire ants were in it on day 4!!!! I wanted them DEAD without harming the earthworms so I purchased this and sprinkled just a little around where I saw the most activity and they were picking it up. The next day I dug into the compost and not one ant could be found but the earthworms were still thriving. It has no smell and I didn't have to touch it, it has a top to sprinkle or pour.

Lot of hype for something that does not work as advertised.

Good product. My pest control guy retired after serving us for 20+ years. Since he was not selling his business he showed me this product. it works for us.

This is only product I have found to kill those tinny west coast brown headed ants from Africa . Works great 👍 very happy . Those ants are so destructive.
