This particular formula feels amazing to me. Background: I can’t stand to have any “lotion” feel on my hands & body. I got this for my face among three other option for my last carribean cruise but at first use I thought wow - I can use this on my body. There is absolutely zero residual feel on the skin. It works as a sun block and I desperately need to use sunblock faithfully to prevent being a lobster. I can use this anywhere. It has a very smooth finish with a little shine that fades as it absorbs. I actually squeeze a bit of “illuminating” sunscreen into my hands with it and apply to hands and arms daily even in winter. (Gotta prevent those age spots girls). I walk out the door and never think about this stuff again. Perfect for my sensitive skin. No white residue. No greasy feeling. No stickiness. No fragrance. Just my skin but protected.

Definitely thicker than what I used to use, but higher SPF is appreciated. Even though it's thicker, it goes on smoothly and doesn't leave a shiny or chalky look that many sunscreens leave. You must be careful applying it because if too close to your eyes, it can cause stinging.

I’ve been searching for a face moisturizer with SPF, and most of the ones I’ve tried have either felt greasy or left a noticeable white cast. This one checks all the boxes! It goes on smoothly, absorbs well, doesn’t feel greasy, and leaves no white cast. It’s lightweight, comfortable to wear, and has become part of my daily routine.

I like it enough that I will probably get it again*. See note below I use sunscreen every single day, sun or not. I am just in the habit of using it, so I look for multi-tasking products. I like a sunscreen that is at the minimum capable of serving as a moisturizer and has a good SPF rating. I normally go with Korean sunscreens as their products are the best at multi-tasking. But I was keen on giving Olay a try. It was what I used as a teen and for a couple of decades back when it was still called Oil of Olay. I got away from it as I wanted stronger SPF (I think at time it was 15-20 spf). When I saw this SPF 40, I jumped at giving it a try. I dont do less than 40. Yet anything too much higher can take on a suncreen look and feel (especially if it uses archaic USA formulas like this). This has mild sunscreen aroma. Not bad. Feels like a thick moisturizer. No white cast because it is a chemical sunscreen. Spreads well, massages in nicely. Leaves skin feeling hydrated. Not greasy to me, but I have dry skin. Has ceramides and such to help protect the skin barrier. Very important to the integrity of the skin, and a must have for anyone with sensitive skin. (so many problems arise from cruddy skin barrier) Nothing fancy. But it is simple and seems effective. * Note: Only bad aspect is that I can not get it anywhere near my eyes or it burns. My eyes will be irritated until I wash my face. This is why I tend to go with Korean (French, or Australian) sunscreens because they use more advanced sun protections chemicals and minerals. Olay is using old school ingredients. Nice combination, but it has its drawbacks (for me). Yet, I still "like" it.

A long time favorite! Keeps my skin hydrated, soft, and comfortable all day. It’s fragrance free, gentle on sensitive skin, and has SPF 40. Plus, it’s cost-effective for the quality. Definitely a staple in my routine.

My go to. I have very oily skin and need something non greasy and light and this fills the bill. I hear you need at least 30 spf to walk out the door but anything stronger is just too much for me. Wish the 50 spf was the same but it is thick and sunscreen like so I just stick with this.

I've been using the SPF 15 version of this moisturizer and loved it, but wanted a higher SPF moisturizer for those months when it's sunnier and I'm outside more, instead of having to add an additional sunscreen product on top of my moisturizer. However, this SPF 40 version is different in two disappointing ways. 1) It's a lot thicker which I find less pleasant, and it's also less practical after the first few uses because it doesn't come out of the bottle as easily and the bottle isn't designed to be stored "upside down" so I've been having to jostle the bottle to get the moisturizer out, even though there's more than half the bottle left. 2) though labeled as good for sensitive skin it does feel irritating--not unusably so, but definitely moreso than the SPF 15 counterpart. I'll finish using the bottle I have, but I won't be repurchasing, and will go back to my old two-step method of adding a layer of higher SPF sunscreen to the SPF 15 moisturizer.

I was looking for a sunscreen that also had niacinamide in it to protect and heal my skin from the sun and this one delivered. I love that it doesn't feel greasy, has a nice scent and didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Thanks! Tip: To get it out easy without having to squeeze hard just shake the bottle down once before dispensing. Then it is easy on your hands especially if you have arthritis like I do.
