Anyone wondering if these work in dremel 8250, the answer is yes. I can’t speak to longevity or the quality of the cells inside. But they are priced well, appear to be made well, and work flawlessly in my dremel 8250. Also the company Calihutt seems to specialize in third party batteries and appears to have good reviews across thier products. I will probably pick up a kobalt 24 v max just to have a third battery because I see they are only $30 and well reviewed. Anyway back to the product in question. Yes well made, priced well, works in dremel. Company seems to have a good warranty which is also a plus. One caveat to potential dremel owners, the keyed tab is on the opposite side of the terminal. It will still insert and work just fine, but it won’t work on the stock dremel 8250 charger. The key gets in the way. I have other chargers and it works fine in there. What I did was just cut off the key with a cutoff wheel. Took two seconds. I didnt need to because as I said I have other chargers that work, but I’d prefer if all my batteries worked across all my chargers. I probably voided any warranty and that’s ok with me. If not spend $14 on a Bosch charger. I bought a really neat one that is super compact, slows you to use usb c, and can be used as a power bank if need be. It doesn’t have any key so all batteries no matter which side the key is on will work. The reason I got it was specifically to be able to use usb c instead of ac power. The added power bank functionality is nice to have but I’ll never use it. So yes these batteries are good so far and work in dremel 8240,50,60. Seems to be good quality, and good company, and a fair price. For reference one dremel battery is $70! No thanks. I did buy one official spare and that’s only because it was on sale for $53 which is still expensive for one 3ah battery. Now I have 4 total and am set. 2 oem, 2 third party and two chargers.

Fits well in the unit, takes and holds a charge as well as the OEM product.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This was about half the cost of the Bosch labeled batteries. The locater pin on the battery may keep it from fitting certain Bosch battery chargers. My older Bosch battery chargers have a locator pin centered between the charging pins. The newer chargers have a locator pin offset to one side which conflicts with the battery and prevents it from plugging in. In the photo below the original Bosch battery is on the right and you can see that the battery locator pin is opposite to the Bosch battery. My BC430 charger would accept the battery as it's locater pin is centered. My newer chargers, such as a Bosch GAL12 v20 have the locator pin on the same side as the battery so it prevents the battery from plugging in. The locator pin difference does not prevent it from plugging into the power tool however. We'll see how the battery functions in power tool use. I primarily bought this as a backup and additional battery for one tool that I did not receive batteries for originally. (It was a free ps20 that I received with another tool as a special offer.) If the batteries hold up and I tire of looking for the correct charger I made just clip off the locator pin to allow it to fit. The locator pin does not contain any wires and does not mate with anything in the charger or the tool. Update, this battery can fit in Gal12-v20 charger if you angle the battery to one side while pushing into the charger. They worked great out of the box. It was perfect too early to tell if the long-term performance will be good.

I was actually deep digging for additional batteries for my Dremel 8240, which takes the 12V 2 amp batteries and quickly discovered that unless I wanted to way overpay for Dremel brand batteries there was really no other generic option. ...or was there? After some deep digging online I discovered that Dremel and Bosch have the same parent company and largely interchangeable parts. So for less than the cost of one Dremel 2 amp battery I got two aftermarket 3 amp batteries that work BETTER than the originals. I've been working on a home remodeling projects and using my Dremel quite a bit to do detail work on hard wood (with the highly recommended https://a.co/d/61rqh54 just make sure you have an easy lock shaft) and the blade would randomly stop from sort of pushing the tool to the limit. Now that I'm using the 3 amp batteries the power/speed is indeed at least 50% greater and it's yet to sort of get stuck mid cut and eat up the batteries. I couldn't be happier with these. Like most, I'm reviewing when these are new but even if (god forbid) these don't last long, I'd still buy another set before overpaying for a 2 amp battery. So if you have a Dremel 8240 these are the batteries you want. I even had some trial and error with others that listed 8240 specifically as compatible but wasn't. Get these, you'll be pleased.
