On time what expected!

I have no idea what this is, since my son uses my Amazon account for his college books. It is likely a beautiful love story, though.

Does not come with any standard English units in the appendix.

I did not know it is not the color version until I received it, and it did not mention that it is indian edition. Disappointed.

Great for learning equations, but a little lacking on all of its derivations.

This book taught me thermodynamics so well. Concepts which I thought were confusing are actually simple. The theoretical explanation is brilliant. After reading this I even thought of choosing thermal field as my career choice, which was mechanical design before. But actually, thermodynamics is used in so many branches of engineering. The book starts off with intro, energy & energy transfer, props of pure substances, energy analysis of closed systems and control volumes, 2nd law of thermodynamics, entropy, exergy, power cycles(gas, vapour and refrigeration), property relations, gas & gas-vapour mixtures(air conditioning), chemical reactions & equilibrium and compressible flow.( property tables also provided at the end) The chapters on entropy and exergy are written so well that I never had any difficulty to solve 2018 GATE questions of it. But I felt chapters on Power cycles (esp gas power cycles) require more problematic explanation too, that include formulae, along with the brilliant theory provided. Go for this one if you need to understand concepts well (problems are also provided). Recommended to all the engineers.
