Wonder Wheels Cleaning Kit, 500ml

I've used Wonder Wheels for many years and have always found it to be excellent. I hadn't bought any for some time as firstly I only tend to clean my alloys when they need it and secondly because I bought a job lot some time ago and it has lasted a looong time. I used this product today and found it to be pretty much useless. I was surprised as it says 'original' and so I expected it to be the same formula as before. But even light areas of brake dust, which my old Wonder Wheels would dissolve in moments, stubbornly refused to shift. Eventually I found myself almost scrubbing at the wheels using the supplied brush. Previously it was a very delicate affair. The wheels are a little cleaner now but not appreciably. Very disappointed as this was a go-to product for me.

The best wheel cleaner generates foam under pressure that actively moves the dirt and holds it in suspension. Wonderwheel is just detergent in a bottle with a soft brush. Dirt sticks to the metal again. Don't buy it. R.

Absolutely Rubbish. This is not the same stuff that I used in the 90’s, I’ve applied it 3 times and it has barely made any noticeable difference. Clearly the formula has changed over time, there is no strong smell and this stuff used to remove all brake dust instantly with one application. This is not the original product it’s now crap, don’t waste your money

Just brought the spray on from lidl and it's half the price and works 10 times better

I possibly think this is either fake or diluted, product completely inactive, the new wonder wheels is a poor product ( compared to other active wheel cleaners) this particular product just didn’t work

Trying to remove stubborn brake dust from my alloy wheels, thought this was supposed to be a a solution, no ending up using good old elbow grease. Don’t waste your money.

Having used this product plenty of times it’ll no doubt be superb. But if I purchase a ‘wheel cleaning kit’ that shows a boxed bottle, applicator brush and container, and continues to mention the container and applicator brush in the ‘how to use’ section - don’t just send me the bottle !!

I've been mucking about with different tar, dust, grime removers from 'Halfrauds' and even used strong bleach. Nothing I've used compares with this product. It really does remove the vast majority of the black ground in brake dust. The alloys now look really polished, almost new looking. There is a bit of light brown coloured grime that it has not been able to remove from the crevices of the spokes. However, I am hopeful that it will go with repeated applications. Of all the products I've used this is the one I would recommend. The bottle should be good for maybe 10-15 applications, depends how dirty your wheels are, but its certainly not a 'one-use' bottle. Just one word of warning it is very corrosive so if like me you have older alloys (8 years) the fluid will find a way between the metal and the lacquer, and it will blow the edges of the alloy coating off. However it is still the best product out there and the flaking will be at the edge or fringe of the wheel. Most likely it was already going but the fluid may have accelerated the process. Having said all that I would still recommend, the wheels look look new.
