Always an Odor?
Always smells? No other disposal had any odors? I have tried all sorts of liquids and ice to clean this 1hp powerful motor. I guess the design just requires tons of extra water to rinse out after use. Even tried a little bleach to kill germs if present. Sink is spotless, disposal works great, but odor control is the problem. Just ordered new splash guard for my unit.

Great product, but not for everyone
First of all, I like it. But I want to share some experience. My plumber help installed it, however, after several months, it started leaking. The reason is this one's horsepower is one and it is too strong for plumber putty to make it stay in the position you wanted. The force of the ratation will gradually grind the putty away and you will see some leaking. The best way is to install a stopper near it.
