this device works well
I liked this device as it is easy to use .I use it to backup my CD collection and to record new tracks I compose.

works fine with vista laptop
plugged data usb into rear of laptop, & power cable into usb port on side of laptop (so no chance of power line heat bleeding across to data usb] burnt about 30 data dvds at 4x upon receipt -no problems burns cds at 10x - no problems burns recoded movie dvd - no problems quiet, seems well-engineered

Easy setup and works perfectly with my Notebook. Works direct from USB without power cable but is quicker with cable in and powered.

Flimsy pile of junk
Didn’t use this product until sometime after I purchased it so it was too late to return. The lid was jammed so I could never actually put a cd in. When plugged in there was a momentary flash of power and then nothing. It was a flimsy pile of junk in other words. I cannot believe the reviews were genuine.

The speed it arrived, just plug and play and away you go. Fast. Had no problems when copying my data. The only thin g I did not like was did not show up until inserting disc, but no problem.
