Gladius - Xbox

I’m about to put for amazing categories together... cooperative, turn-based, strategy, role player! This is such a great concept! Cooperative, it’s a couch co-op so you and your friends can work together. Turn-based, allows your friends to run for snacks and drop in or out as necessary. Strategy, get that big brain working. Role-player, pick your powers up weapons as you level up. Even though it’s a strategy game it’s not one person telling everybody what to do because of the “swing meter” what we would call a quick time event in modern gaming, everyone has to fight by themselves even though it’s cooperative and strategy. There are some flaws like the stories really sucks. But the core concept of this game is amazing I wish they would bring something like this back.

I love this game. There is a clear 'good guy' 'bad guy' and you are on the side of the angels (or 'gods') fighting the good fight. There can be up to 4 players, each with their own controller. There is no split screen, you take turns playing and can support each other. There are weight classes, light fighters move faster and get more turns but do a lot less damage. Light fighters can beat heavy fighters, who can beat medium class, who can beat lights. Battle strategy is important, as is choice of weapons and defensive wear. I played this game years ago when the Xbox came out and wore out the disk. Game which require thought are superior to bash slash and smash....I just wish they would make it for the Xbox 360..

A bit repetitive, but this game has a unique control method called a swing meter (like golf games maybe?) Allows one to pit gladiators against each other in arenas or the overworld map. Really well made, but there a lot of fights and it seems that hack and slash beats range and magick so for me it became repetitive after 40 hours

Only video game my wife will play. Countless hours of our live eaten up from this time machine.

Wow i honestly expected more from Lucasarts, but this game is by far the worst game i've ever played in my entire life...and i'm not being overly dramatic. Not only are the graphics disturbingly horrible, the voice acting is dull and repetitive. The story is interesting but it's random...like really, REALLY, random. Add to this is the games mind numbingly boring combat scheme that makes dragon age feel like call of duty, and the ridiculously jacked up money/store system. And perhaps the worst element of all...the music; the music only has ONE TRACK, that is played over, and over, and over, and over, and OVER!!! When my sister and i played this, the music got so annoying that we turned the music volume to zero. This game could have been so much better. No wonder Lucasarts decided to not make anymore medieval-themed games.

I used to love this game, so I bought it to use with my xbox 360, and it doesn't work. Pissed me off royally that it doesn't work.

I was looking forward to playing this game for some time... and when I finally did, I was pleased with the graphics and the voice acting was certainly much better then in most games. But I was disappointed with how little variation there was in the game, regardless of which characters you played. SPOILER: If you happen to be "lucky" enough to obtain the Hell's Gate skill, turn it off. You can run through the end of the game using this skill once, and I mean once, on everyone and everything. No fun...
