Failed when I needed it most
NOT RECOMMENDED. This thing worked fine for about 3 weeks then when I was ready to deploy and needed to open it, it would just flash purple then blink red 5 times. The fingerprints and codes were right, the lock simply stopped opening. It was like it was trying, but the lock was just frozen shut. Lost all faith in the product and company after that. Had to go home to find the backup key, so it completely and utterly failed its purpose. Buy this at your own risk. You might think you're saving money over other brands, but this thing definitely failed on me, and I fear it may fail on you in your time of need. If it didn't completely destroy my confidence, it would have been a very nice portable safe. Very strong thick metal build, spacious enough for a large full-sized pistol like a 1911, though that is not what I was using it for. And the fingerprint reader seemed to be quick and reliable. The locking mechanism, though, made all that fancy tech into a dumb physical key ONLY box. AVOID. USE ANY OTHER SAFE, NOT THIS ONE.

A good option if you are not intending to carry it, as in a bag or something, at least not often
A bit on the heavy side, which is good if you really aren't going to be traveling with it much. For my intended purposes I think it will work well. When the top opens it opens pretty aggressively, almost tipping its-self over backwards. The finger print reader appears to work better than other devices I have used.

Finger print senser is not great. Misreads a lot. Usually have to put in code.

Just the right size, biometrics work well, easily fits under the bed.

AVOID
Do not trust this safe to work when you need it to. The lock is extremely troublesome and will not regularly open with biometrics. Even when it does open it often has a hard time closing! The locking mechanism does not engage/disengage appropriately. Listen to all the other reviews and avoid this product. I purchased 2 of these last year and really wish I would have returned them. Awful.

Perfect car safe!
Great car safe. I wasn't sure about the biometrics but it works great! Follow directions. I bought a heavier cable and filed the upper half cable slot only to fit a 5/16 inch dia coated cable for better security. Make it so the rubber coating on the cable gets stuck in the upper slot so it doesn't fall out every time you open the safe. The lower slot was already fine. Fits my M&P 9 Shield Plus with IWB holster easily.
