L'Oréal Paris Setting Spray, Infallible 3-Second Makeup Mist for Face, 75ml

After reading the amazing reviews on this I thought I would give it a try. I bought this to take on holiday. Within 2 hours I had hives all over my face. I thought maybe I had a little too much sun from the day and it would calm down. Within 4 hours my face had swollen up like a balloon and one eye was closed over. I had also blistered all over my face and neck. I left it until the next day hoping with my usual daily antihistamines it would calm down. The next day I ended up in emergency care as it was getting more severe and showing no signs of calming down. I was in a foreign country and had to have an injection in my bum along with tablets and had to hide from the sun. I DO NOT recommend this product at all. If I could give it a zero start I would. I am not usually one to write reviews but I don’t want anyone else to be in the pain I was in.

This mist seems like it's just hair spray repackaged as a setting spray. It smells exactly like it is hair spray too. It leaves the face feeling tacky which is really uncomfortable especially on the eyes which feel like they might get glued shut if you don't open them right away after spraying. It also leaves a horrible after taste on the lips which last for hours, so if you spray in the morning be prepared to taste it while you eat your lunch. 100% Do not reccomended

Bought for my daughter who says it works amazingly. Just used it abroad and the make up lasted really well and still looked flawless at the end of the day. It is a very light fine mist. It seems to be good value for money as the can is lasting well. The only downside is the smell, it has a smell of hairspray. This is only noticeable while spraying and is a minor inconvenience of an otherwise great product.

This setting spray is refreshing and easy to use, and it does help makeup settle nicely on the skin. The mist is fine and lightweight, so it doesn’t leave droplets or make your face feel wet. It gives a smoother finish and reduces that powdery look, which is great for everyday makeup. The scent is mild and fades quickly, and the bottle is compact enough to carry around. In terms of performance, it works well for a few hours and keeps makeup looking fresh for light to moderate wear. It’s good for quick outings or workdays where you don’t need all‑day hold. It also doesn’t feel sticky or heavy, which makes it comfortable on the skin. The downside is that the staying power isn’t as strong as expected. After several hours — especially in warm weather or during busy days — makeup starts to fade or move a bit. It’s not bad, just not as long‑lasting as some other setting sprays in the same range. Overall, it’s a decent everyday spray that improves the finish of your makeup, but it may not be enough if you need strong, all‑day staying power.

First off, is this basically like spraying hair spray in your face? Yes. Amazingly, though, it doesn't set off my asthma like hairspray does. I'd definitely recommend holding your breath whilst spraying, and for a few seconds afterwards. It works REALLY well, but obviously don't expect miracles. I put setting sprays and make up through the wringer - I'm a swimming teacher, it's very hot and humid pool side, and I get splashed a lot. This, for the most part, keeps my make up in tact for my whole shift, which is impressive. The only things that rub off are my eyebrows (usually my fault itching them or wiping water from my face being splashed. Also my lips, but I would expect that anyway, especially as I don't generally use long wear lip products. My base make up generally stays put however, which is the main thing. One thing I will say, you need to shake it before you spray it to get a nice, fine mist. If you don't, it'll come out in big drops which can make your make up look patchy. When shaken first, it won't just keep your make up in place, it'll help it all meld together nicely too, so it doesn't look cakey. It's not matte or radient, it's a nice natural sheen somewhere in the middle. I personally like a bit of a glow, so I use a glowy setting spray too. I'm on my fourth can now, so I have been testing this for a long time, and I'll keep buying it because nothing else I've used compares. Reason for 4 out of 5 stars is because I think it's expensive for a small can which doesn't last me as long as I like (about a month if I use it daily.) It's also basically hairspray for your face so not the most pleasant sensation or smell. I'd like it to be cheaper for the current size, or a much bigger bottle for the price. It is substantialy cheaper on Amazon, however, and it goes on sale for very reasonable prices, which is when I tend to stock up on it. Overall, I would highly recommend it and I will continue to keep using it, as nothing I've used comes close to comparing to the effectiveness of this setting spray.

Ive purchased this several times and love it. However this time I do not know if I’ve received a fake product or if it has changed. There are subtle differences with the bottle (there’s no pattern on the latest one) and the smell of the product is completely different

by all means i thought it would of been a good product as i read the reviews. but its decent at best. smells like hair spray aswell as it really did act like hairspray when i accidentally put some on my hair made it all still. transfer? it does a little bit, it keeps you makeup on put it still has transfer, however when i put my normal setting spray and this one on top it did hold better so it’s a decent setting spray

it’s really good it does keep my makeup in place it feels like what it would feel like if you were spraying hairspray on your face, it also keeps ur hair in place so cover your hair if u don’t want your hair to go all hard (learnt that the hard way) and don’t spray it really close to your face cuz it lowk burnt my eyes.

He probado un tiempo el spray fijador y me ha encantado 😍. El formato es muy práctico y el pulverizador es muy fino, no moja la cara ni deja gotas grandes, se siente como una bruma ligera y agradable ✨. Lo que más me gusta es que realmente fija el maquillaje. Después de aplicarlo, el maquillaje se ve más uniforme y dura muchas horas sin cuartearse ni moverse 💄. También ayuda a que no se transfiera tanto, incluso con mascarilla o al tocar la piel. Se seca muy rápido (en segundos) y no deja sensación pegajosa ni pesada. El acabado queda natural, sin brillos excesivos, y la piel se ve bonita y fresca 🥰. En resumen, es un fijador muy bueno y eficaz, ideal para que el maquillaje dure todo el día. Lo recomiendo mucho y sin duda volvería a comprarlo 💕
