Works perfect totally worth buying.
Works perfectly as it says. I have tried and works on Mi A4Tv, Tata Play, Lloyd AC, Sony TV, Canon 6D DSLR as well. It works with almost all the known brands. You can have this single device to control all the IR devices rather having all the remotes with you. *What it does not work with... local RGB led strips [remote controlled] where you don't have a proper brand name and other chinese products like that. I tried other apps but it was hard to find one as no other app detects this device as external IR. Many of the apps are only capable of detecting in-built IR on your phone so those apps won't help you. I found few apps which had external IR connecting options but even they failed to detect it. So in the end you are left with the default company app [ocrustar] which covers more than 90% of the brands. Check out the app before buying, it will surely work with the brand listed in the app. If you're looking for something that is not listed in the app, you might need to look for a different product. I will update if i find a work around for chinese products.

Ok as standard remote
It only works with Ocrustar. Some font is in Chinese. App has limited features and DIY option doesnt work. Not compatible with any other app. Good for standard remotes. Learn mode available for making custom remotes. But not so great for making custom remotes. No option for remote codes. No option for adding libraries.

Worked with my VW HD TV(Not an Android/Google/Smart TV)
I ordered it for my VW HD TV as my remote lost. Initial bit sceptical while ordering, but I followed the video instructions and linked my VW TV with Shinco TV remote. So for me, this product worked. Tip : if you have local/3rd party brand's appliances, try different brand's remote listed in ocrustar app, it will mostly work.
