ARCCAPTAIN 55A Plasma Cutter Machine, Non-Touch Pilot Arc, 120V/240V

Super impressed with this little machine. I had a large demo job of some old steam shell and tube exchangers and it did its job very well. The tanks were quite large 4ft diameter, about 15ft long and 1/4”-3/8” thick. This cutter was able to cut the 1/4” shells in long cuts making the job quick, i ran it at its max 55amps almost the entire time with about 65psi of air. Rarely did i hit the duty cycle. I did burn through the electrodes provided, granted the metal was dirty with alot of sediment in it and my air was not very dry, but a pack of electrodes are cheap and you should just have extras on hand anyways. For the price to value ratio, its worth it.

I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable plasma cutter. It cuts as described.

Love it. Made life easier

It works, but not well on 110v. Really best suited for up to 1/4”, maybe, unless you have 220v (recommended), then it works much better all around.

Unboxed it, plugged it in to 110v hooked up the air, turned it on and it fired right up. Grabbed a piece of junk steel (that was a little thick) and it wouldn’t hold the arc. Didn’t have any thinner material handy so I plugged it in to 220V with 60psi air and it cut perfectly. Now it’s just some practice time and getting used to where to set voltage for different steel thicknesses. I keep the air at 60psi and it seems to cut anything fine.

It’s a good value if you get a machine that actually works, I literally just got this yesterday and put it together to find out that it has a bad internal ground connection problem. How I found this issue, was whether or not I had the ground connected, it did the same thing. Then to top it off, good luck getting support from ArcCaptain. Tried customer support twice at two different times, no ones available, no call back option. 1star until my issue is resolved

This machine is easy to assemble and very easy to use it works great first time i ever used a plasma cutter right out of the box i cut very rusty 3/8 steel brackets off my tractor bucket in minutes

Works surprisingly well. Does all it is advertised to do.

Following directions to connect everything and did some test cuts. Exactly what I need for my auto restoration project! Small and light the ArcCaptain Cut 55 is worth every penny.
