Good camera for a good price
I've only shot video so far with this camera indoors & in gloomy weather conditions outdoors. In these conditions I've found that the 4K mode delivers the best results. I tried the 2K & the 1080p 60FPS modes, but they didn't seem to deliver video that was as clear as the 4K did. Not sure if the SD card that I'm using makes any difference or not....It's a Gskill 32GB class 10 card. I've tried filming with the EIS(image stabilization) both on & off and I can verify that it does its job. With the EIS on the footage is markedly smoother than with it off. I don't think it takes out 100% of the jitter & shaking, but it does make a difference. Still Pictures have good quality, clear results at the 20MP setting(haven't tried on other resolutions yet). I really like the touchscreen instead of being force to use the 2 buttons on top of the camera. The only time that the touchscreen is unavailable is when you have the camera in the waterproof housing...At that point you will need to use the buttons. The only real cons to this camera that I've found so far are related to the wireless functions. When you want to use either the remote watch or the wifi functionality it looks like you need to go into the settings of the camera, turn on that function('RF' or 'WiFi') again, & kind of pair the watch/cell phone again after the camera has gone through a power off/on cycle. It seems that powering the camera off results in the RF & WiFi settings defaulting to 'off'. I may be doing something wrong though, since I am pretty new to how this type of camera operates. From all of the reviews I have seen online I can't see why you would want to spend 3 or 4 times the money on a "real" gopro when you can get cams like this that do a pretty good job. Of course a cheaper price would always be preferable, but the V50 Pro is priced fairly I think compared to other cameras out there with similar functionality & features.

As good as much more expensive cameras but very affordable.
As a reviewer and user of cheap and more expensive action cameras I was actually quite surprised with the Akaso V50 Pro. The video quality is very good to excellent. The audio was what surprised me the most. Even without the external microphone, that you can purchase separately on Amazon, the audio was on par with the GoPro Hero 6 and 7. I was actually very surprised and satisfied with the audio I was getting out of this camera.. And it was a hair over $100.00. Where like cameras struggle in this area, the V50 Pro excelled. This camera comes with everything you need to get started with taking videos and the includes a water proof case and any kind of attachment you can think of. The microphone doesn't come with the Akaso V50 Pro, but in my testing I found that the inbuilt microphones gave outstanding performance and audio quality was top shelf. You can purchase the microphone for $10.00, from Amazon. Controls were intuitive and easy to get used to, although the touch screen capabilities were limited. The camera comes with more than one inbuilt microphone, spaced out on the camera, and as I said before, I think the audio on this camera is top shelf. You can watch my full review on my YouTube channel "Hayes Tech and Rom Reviews"... I will be putting this camera up against other budget action cameras soon but for now I am highly recommending this action camera if you can not afford to get a GoPro Hero 7 Black. I still think the GoPro Hero 7 Black is the standard by which all action cameras should be judged against (just my opinion) and the Akaso V50 Pro is giving GoPro a run for the money. So I can highly recommend the Akaso V50 Pro.

Very decent budget action camera with sharp clear pictures and videos
I need a pretty decent, affordable and good quality waterproof action camera for my family outdoor adventures such as recording fishing on the beach. I am a very serious buyer, always doing research before buying. After spending a lot of time searching on the website, reading customer reviews and watching videos on youtube. I finally decided to buy AKASO V50 PRO Native K30fps 20M Wifi action camera, which just cost me under $100 with a bunch of accessories. The key is that this is a camera which should take very clear pictures and videos with true colors. Yes it does its job! Additionally, It has a watch-like remote control which can take pictures and shoot videos when using a selfie stick, but you kind of need to press the button very hard. A phone app which you can download and also can link your camera for pictures and videos taking, also for pictures and videos review. ONLY after you download the pictures and videos you can view very sharp and clear pictures and videos. BTW, I use SanDisk Ultra PLUS microSDXC UHS-I card (128GB), it really works without any problem even though the manufacturer recommend 64GB. Two batteries are provided, extra batteries are also available on amazon website. The reason I gave 4 stars because I think they might need some improvement for this camera. 1. I think most buyers are not family with any newly bought devices, so the manufacturer should provide a very detailed step by step manual and instructions for customers. For example, I spent time to figure out how to remove the camera from the mount in the box, I even think I am a little bit stupid. Actually, you might do not know how to remove it when you touch it for the first time. Only one cable provided in the box, but there are two cable slots in the camera, they did not even label it, which really confuse customers even though they mentioned in the online Manuel. They did not mention what kind of cell battery for remote control, which you can be alerted to buy an extra for later urgent replacement. So far I am still need to spend time to figure out it since most of time I need remote control when I am fishing on the beach. The manual said this camera can be used as a dash camera, but did no mention any more details. I wondering when I use this camera as a dash camera, whether I need plug in another car cable charging! Should I remove the battery! Any negative impact for camera when exposed high temperature during summer? What temperature range can be accepted? Anyway I have a lot of questions about the usage for this camera, but I can not find in the manual. 2. This camera has lots of tricks that manual did not mention. Fore example, some settings can NOT be saved after you shut down the camera, so you need to reset after you turn on and want to use it again, which really confuse me so much that I thought my device has some defective. Later I found some customers mentioned it in the review after I further searched. So I would rather manufacturer should give more details in the online manual, please do not just let customers to spend time to figure out. All these concerns or questions will affect the whole rating for this product. 3, For this model, they mentioned this camera support external microphone. This is a plus and I really need an long extra microphone for audio recording. After I ordered this camera, then I spent a a lot of time searching to find a good quality microphone. After I found one decent microphone which includes a mini usb adapter for cable slot plus an extra 20 feet lone cord. But after further reading camera reviews, I found tons of customers are complaining about external microphone, most customers said the microphone does not work. Some related with camera versions and some related with sound quality and microphone compatibility (one guy made several video clips and posted on youtbue to discuss this issue, another guy provided some science proofs to verify why does not work in the customer review even though I do not quite understand the electricity). Finally, I found ONLY one specific microphone can be accepted by this camera, kind of you do not bother to find other microphone. I think the seller should clearly mention ONLY one SPECIFIC microphone is compatible to this camera. But looks like the reviews about this microphone are really bad. So I think the external microphone compatibility might be a bug for this camera. The microphone cost $10 for short cord, I would not to buy this item to take the risk. If the seller can send me a free microphone, I would like to try and test (LOL). 4, I am still think if this camera can support a voice control or blue tooth control for selfie stick, it would be more convenient and perfect. Anyway I am still testing this camera to get family with it, hopefully you can find the review described above useful for new new customers and all others still confused with this camera usage, also I think it is good for manufacturer to improve this product. If necessary I will update it later. Thanks, and have fun with your new camera. Update: got free more accessories in several days. customer service is good. So far camera works well.

I am amazed how close this camera comes to Gopro Hero for a third of the price.
I ride a motorcycle and have purchased four video cameras over the last couple of years. I have s Sony HDRAS300, a Yi 4k (don't make that one anymore), a Gopro Black 7 (which is white), and the Akaso V50 Pro. I bought the Akaso to stick on my drones because the included cameras on the drones have no image stabilization. I did not want to use my other three cams because they are expensive and I have crashed several drones. I have no use for the Sony as I cannot get it mounted on my helmet like I want, so I basically use the Yi and Gopro for my motorcycle videos. I mounted the Akaso on my Xero drone and crashed it. The drone is done for but the Akaso survived. The last ride I took, I put my Akaso on my helmet and gave it a try to use as a backup on my rides in case something happens to my Gopro while I am on the road. I am amazed, I mean really amazed at the video. The Akaso colors are as vibrant and the Gopro and more so than the Yi. Also the stabilization is fine mounted on my helmet. I plugged it in to a usb port on my handlebar and it ran for a couple of hours straight from my motorcycle battery. The only limitation is the size of the micro sd card which is 64 MB. The Gopro can handle 128 MB which allows me to ride and forget about running out of space and it will also run off my motorcycle battery. The Akaso cannot match the Gopro apples to apples at 1080p which is what I record in but the Akaso can match the Gopro at 1080p if the Akaso is set to 4k which is really not 4k as I understand from other people reviewing on Youtube. However, both the Akaso at "4k" and the Gopro at 1080p have about the same file size. The Gopro makes a 17:38 minute file size at 3.90 GB for 1080p. The Akaso makes s 17:33 minute file at 3.87 file size. I cannot speak for other activities like snowboarding or surfing or stuff I don't do that may overcome the image stabilization, but the Akaso is fine mounted on my helmet. I paid about $119 for the Akaso and a mounting kit and about double that for the Gopro Black 7...never buy the current Gopro model as it is way overpriced. I am not a paid reviewer and I don't get stuff from the manufacturer or anything like that...I buy my own stuff and try it out to see if it meets my needs. My opinion is as follows: The Sony is a good camera but way overpriced because it has limited mounting options or either they are a pain. The Yi is almost as good as the Gopro as it has solid image stabilization and crisp video, but the colors a not as vibrant, and it cost me about as much as the Gopro 7. I cannot find the Yi selling anywhere reputable anymore. I bought the Gopro because most videos on Youtube use it. I got the 7 after the 8 had been out for quite a while, and the 7 was discounted a lot. The 7 is a great camera, and I cannot see getting an 8 as great is enough and better than great is a waste of money. The Akaso V50 Pro is a fine, fine camera for the price you pay. If you can afford a Hero 7 then get that as it lives up to its reputation, but otherwise the Akaso is the better value because double the price does not really get you much more. One last thing...I did have to contact Gopro support as the Gopro started having an issue with stuttering video after I did a firmware update. Tech support had me reset the unit, and that fixed it. However now it will only turn off if I give it the verbal command to do so...it will not turn off with the button. It is a good camera but the sofware is not good. No such problems with my other three cameras. They are rock solid.

perfect quality!!!!!!!!!! (a few answers to questions you might have at bottom)
this camera is awesome!!!!!! I had heard how great action cams were like go pros, but when i looked to see how much they cost (how much a go pro cost), it was outrageous! So i did a lot more looking. In the end this seemed to be the best (The Akaso v50 pro), because it was a very reasonable price considering how many features it has compared to all the the other more expensive action cameras. So i got it. When i started using it i tried out some of the features i was excited about, and they worked great! plus the video quality is everything i hoped for. The Akaso v50 pro even comes with a remote so you can set up the camera somewhere and sit back and relax while snapping photos and videos. or you can get in front of the camera, click the button on the remote, and start recording yourself. i took it to the beach and tried out the water proof case the next day. i took lots of photos under water. and when i left later that day, i opened the case and there wasn't the tiniest drop of water in it. and now i will list a few things about the camera that weren't clarified very well, and that you may have been wondering about. 1. like i said earlier the camera does come with a remote that can be used to take pictures and video (the remote can not turn the camera on and off. the power button on the remote turns the remote on & off.) 2. this camera has the ability to capture both fast motion and slow motion movies. if you have the camera already, and can't figure out how to access slow motion video, then simply hold down the enter button, (the blue one) tap on the video icon, then tap "video resolution", scroll down (by swiping up on the screen with your finger) and click on "720p/120fps" then if you scroll down it should show that "slow motion movie" is now available to select. 3. the WiFi feature is used to connect the camera to an IOS system, android, or other devices that are able to download the app called " ismart pro+". this application allows users to see what the camera sees, on the device with the app. when you are ready to connect the devices you must click on the WiFi icon on your camera and it will say "waiting for connection" then go onto your IOS or android device, and then go into settings>WiFI and select the network that says "AKASO_V50Pro_******.

Amazing camera for an amazing price!
My partner and I bought this camera because we are going backpacking across the USA and we wanted to film the experience. We have never owned an action camera before so we wanted to buy something on a budget. After comparing many companies that offer action cameras AKASO seemed the best quality for the reasonable price and it had the best reviews. We were then deciding between AKASO EK7000 / BRAVE 4 and v50 pro. After visiting their website we decided to buy the last one because it really had everything and even more of what we wanted. It comes with a hard plastic box which looks really pretty and on top you get the camera in it's waterproof case and below you have all the mounts. Everything was in perfect condition. We tested the waterproof case and all the accessories. Both batteries work. We just had to buy the SD card, which it stated it didn't come in the pack and we bought 64GB with the right speed and it works great. The little manual you get with it is really short but they provide the link to the FULL manual which explains every tool you get with the camera and all its menus and features. I personally like to read the manual first and it helped me figure out the camera really quickly. We tested it through a couple of days. The pictures look really clear and nice. But we were more excited for the video. We filmed at home and in the car and the footage is great. I was really surprised about the image stabilization because that was a feature that convinced us to buy this model and it works amazing. Overall we are really happy with the camera. We didn't think it was going to be this good for such a low price. It looks good, feels good in the hand. It's nicely made and the video is top noch for such a low price. If you are deciding to buy this camera and you want to make good videos and need stabilization and different features then this camera is the right for you. We know we are going to make stunning videos on the road. Way to go AKASO!

It really deserves four and a half stars. I really like this camera.
This is a update. I wrote my review just a day or so but rereading it I found too many spelling and grammar mistakes. This is going to be a pretty long review. Those who follow me know I have a tendency to write a bit too much and I agree. Here's why. The majority of reviews written here are one, two or three lines. I don't think three lines is enough especially if the rating is four or five stars. I want to know why the review received the stars and "it's a nice product" isn't go to convince me. I try to give the pros and cons of a review. I try to give enough information to give the buyer enough knowledge in order to find if the item is what the want or need. I write reviews so others will know if the product is of high quality. I try to find alternate solutions. I want my review to include my experience with the product. I'll never write a review on an item I never used whether purchased her or some other seller. I will never ever give a positive review if the product doesn't deserve it. I will never pull my punches and I'll never write a review if the item is offered free or with a deep discount unless it's offered through the Amazon Vine program. So there it is, why my reviews are sometimes long. I'm not new to photography. You could say I know a lot about photography as I hold a MFA in Photography from a very prestigious college and spent thirty two years working for the biggest news agencies. The medium at the time was film and digital at that time was still floating around in Steve Sasson's head. He developed digital photography for Eastman Kodak and actually made the first digital camera in 1973. In 2012 Eastman Kodak, deciding that digital wasn't going to be profitable enough for them. They decided to sell their digital business for $525 million to a consortium. The consortium included some big name like Adobe, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and Samsung. A private accounting firm estimated the true value of the 1,100 Imaging and processing patents portfolio to be worth $2.5 billion. And now you know why the majority of Eastman Kodak closed. So video was going to be a new challenge and I was looking forward to it. My first action camera was a cheapy and the learning curve though not terribly hard, was a bit confusing. I knew I could use some help. Help came at first from the son of a life long friend. He holds a degree in videography so I was sure I would be shooting video very quickly. Turns out he had a lot of knowledge but his teaching skills were not so good and he lost patience with me. I just didn't understand all the terminology and the speed he expected me to have. You see, I have a problem with learning without repetitive teaching. About 12 years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. For the next two years it progressed and I was forced out of the active photography. I taught a year but it wasn't rewarding enough. I joined a Real Estate firm and within three years I became a partner of the firm. I was active in the actual sales and listing part of the business, but again the Parkinson's interfered enough to keep me away from the active sales and listings. For the next three years I did the behind the scenes of real estate until again the Parkinson's interfered. The other partners bought me out and I retired. At first I watched a lot of TV and messed around on the computer and became fat and depressed. With the great help from a great lady, my wife, and a very good psychiatrist I snapped out of the depression and began working with other Parkinson patients and ended up working for an advocacy group that catered to Parkinson's and Parkinsonian inflicted individuals. My Parkinson's progressed and I became very unsteady on my feet. A serious fall put me in the hospital for surgical repairs and a rehabilitation hospital where I was evaluated for a wheelchair. I ended up in a wheelchair but not just any chair. I purchased a motor wheelchair with so many bells and whistles including a USB3 port which quickly became four with the addition of a hub. I purchased one of those real high tech chairs with all the bells and whistles. It even has a USB3 port which I expanded to 4 with hub. I wasn't looking forward to learning this all on my own and thankfully I didn't have to. My apartment Manager of the complex I live in makes regular welfare checks to make sure the tenants are safe. The last visit she made found me sorting all the camera thing I purchased. She said her son was really into video taping and all he wanted for the Last Christmas was cameras and acessories. He had them mounted on his skateboard, his bike and even his back pack he took to school. A light bulb went off in my head and I asked if her son would be interested in making some money teaching me. She said she would ask and sure enough he was happy to help. He showed up the first Saturday empty handed except for his skateboard. Sure enough there was a camera attached. He was a Junior in high school and he said the majority of his friends were into filming. Their hopes were getting something on YouTube. So he says " what do you want to do". My plans were to attach a camera or two to my wheelchair so I could record my daily activities. He looked at me like I had lost my mind. Why he asked. I told him that ever since my last fall and the confinement to the chair the majority of my friends were staying away. He got that right away. He said " so you want them to see there's no reason to stay away by recording all the things you can still do"? he hit the nail on the head. First thing was to look at the chair to see what acessories I would need. I showed him the large case full of adaptors, a chest harness, a head harness and so much more. Well he said, you have that taken care of. What camera you going to order he wanted to know. I showed him this AKASO V50 Pro. He had heard of the make but had no experience with it. So we got down to work and he was genuinely excited. I said you really get into this stuff and he shook his head yes. What he said next was one of the nicest things I ever heard. He said it's difficult to find an adult that shares his and his friends idea of fun. We first opened the accessory kit I purchased and began taking each item out of the plastic bags. Each one we opened he explained what it was and what it was designed to do. We then started mapping out my wheelchair and figuring the best place to record. He said it's too bad I didn't have two cameras. I reached down into a drawer next to me and brought out the cheapy cam and handed it to him. Why do you call this a cheapy cam he asked. I told him how much I paid for it. He said it wasn't the newest or greatest camera but just a year or two the camera was the top of the line. Compared to your new camera, yeah it lacks features but is definitely usable. We read the new AKASO features and we did a quick comparison. Right away he pointed out the resolution difference. The top resolution on the cheapy was 1080 where the AKASO is 4K. The cheapy cam wasn't touch screen where the AKASO is. The AKASO has Gyro stabilization the cheapy no. He laughed and agreed the cheapy was cheap but could still be used. In fact the camera was charged and the memory card formatted. We put it on a small tripod and recorded what we were doing. We then began going over the features of the AKASO V50 Pro which are many. Now I could list each feature but then I would be repeating the Amazon product description page. I will however list what my new friend considers the better and best features. First the basic: F2.8 aperture, Field of View 170 degrees, Image format JPEG, 2 inch touch screen, Sensor resolution 14.24 video resolutions of 4K:3840 X 2160 30 frames per second, 2.7K: 2704X1524 30 frames per second, 1080X1920 60 frames per second and 720X1280 120 frames per second. These numbers are important I am told but he added more than likely I'll being one resolution for the majority of time. Photo resolution 16MP, Time lapse photo intervals 20MP. A very important feature Stabilization. Parkinson's tremors makes it difficult for me to hold the camera steady. WIFI 2.4G, Battery is 1100mAH, This particular camera came with two. Settings you can set are numerous. The FOV, GRYO, Time stamp, White balance, ISO control, EV metering, Self timer Auto Power off and quite a few more. It can auto upload to cloud, Wi-Fi for offload to phone, can connect to GoPro App iSmart Pro+, remote control and 30 meters or about 90 foot with the case. After looking at all the features on paper and having the majority of them explained to me, we actually started using it. Right up front. The camera is shipped with the camera in the water proof case. Be prepared to have a difficult time getting the camera out. Don't loose you patience and grab a butter knife like I did. If I hadn't had my new friend around to stop me the camera would have been seriously scratched or worse. Once the camera was free, of course we began by charging the battery. There are two with the camera but I purchased another two with charger. The battery charged quickly but we think it may of had a factory charge as we turned the camera on and it lit up. While the batteries charged he went over the memory card and adaptor. This may be a problem. Due to the tremors I have holding something that small could be tricky. The battery now charged we inserted into the camera. Please note: the battery can only go in one way. If it looks like it's stuck DO NOT FORCE the battery in or you'll cause damage to the battery compartment. Here's another thing you need to know. The memory cards must be formatted. DON'T USE YOUR COMPUTER to format the card. It has to be formatted in the camera. After about three quarters of an hour I had learned the features of the camera and got it up and running. For the price this camera sure offers a lot of features. I have compared the AKASO to a few other similar cameras higher priced and it holds its own. It definitely will not compete with the GoPros, the Garmin's nor the Nikons but neither does it cost three times as much. The AKASO will fit my needs very nicely as the wheelchair won't be diving anytime or driving through the desert or even be out in the rain, if I can help it. I'm really looking to get this and the cheapy camera hooked up and get out in the world. My new young friend has mentioned me to his friends and they have shown an interest in helping me This review was written without any financial consideration. I did not receive a free product nor discount. Full Amazon retail was paid. I hope this review helped. If you think it did please check the little box in the review. I would like to invite you to subscribe. If you have any suggestions how I can approve any of my reviews please contact me here through Amazon. I'm sorry I am not able to add photos or videos. Because the Parkinson's has affected my hands and arms, I am unable to hold nor control a camera. Thanks for reading. Bob

Overall great Quality camera that's worth the money!
I gotta say that I did a whole lot of research into action cameras before coming to the decesion of buying this camera and overall this is a very nice camera that i'm not at all disappointing with choosing. I've had mine now for about 3 weeks and I've been thoroughly impressed with all of its capabilities and features. The quality is great and shoots very smooth in 4K. I love that it comes with two batteries and an external charger along with the wireless watch remote for easy use. I've already used this camera with it's the case in the water and it dose indeed work. The extra accessories that it comes with is a nice bonus. The only thing I can really mention that I either don't get yet or are a bit of a hassle is that the app used for the wifi connection to the phone can be a bit of a hit or miss, I've used it multiple times and it was able to connect maybe about half the time so a little more work is needed on that perhaps. Other than that I also did notice under the video features that there's a slow motion option to record but the option isn't able to be selected to use, at least on mine, which i'm not to sure about how to access that option if you can. I'll list the pros vs cons to summarize. Pros: +Comes with a whole lot of accessories that most action camera sets do not +Extra battery and charger for double the life! +Compatible with other brands mounting gear (GoPro, etc) +Wireless watch remote included +Touch Screen Cons: -WiFi feature is a bit iffy -Isn't the best at capturing video in low light settings, but that's typical -Certain features seem inaccessible (slow motion), at least to me. Overall this is an incredible camera that I'm glad that I bought and i honestly can say I don't think there is a better option out there for the money.

This is truly an action and performance packed Action Camera, You will get to know once you will buy
Life is very unpredictable and we do not know what is going to happen next. Some moments we enjoy and some moments we regret but whatever moment come in our life we want to capture it so whenever we want to relive the moment we can. Excellent product
The product was delivered on time. It is an excellent product though I am writing this review after receiving the product only on 21st Oct 2018. The video quality is very good. We have not tried it under water. Works very well under low light. The product is simply great compared to the price you pay. The many accessories that came with the product include a water resistant case and two batteries. Hence you will not run out of power in remote locations. Works very well with a sandisk 32gb card though tge support document says it supports 64gb. Overall an excellent product. The service is also very prompt. Since we had some issues in getting sound we just sent them a mail seeking support. The answer came promptly with solution and it worked in a jiffy. It works excellent with iSmart Pro+ to be downloaded from play store. It is definitely better than most costly iriduct available in Indian market which cones without any accessories or second battery.

No es a prueba de agua
La descripcion dice que es resistente al agua, pero dejo de funcionar a los 5 minutos, incluso con la cubierta puesta.
