AQUAEL Pat MINI INTERNAL FILTER

I did a bit of research before buying an internal filter and I found a lot of positive reviews in regards to the Aquael Pat mini filter. I can safely say the reviews were right as this is a brilliant filter which is powerful for its size but the flow and direction can be changed to suit tank size/fish/plant requirements. The sponge filter keeps the water crystal clear and it is very quiet. The only noise I hear on mine is the breaking of bubbles at the surface.

The Pat Mini is a deceptively strong little filter; in fact, it’s almost overengineered for its size. While it’s sold as a standalone internal filter, its real value lies in its versatility. It is incredibly popular in the aquarium community as an affordable powerhead. I’ve seen it used frequently to power Matten filters or swapped onto double sponge filters by removing the stock sponge. The performance is fantastic for such a compact unit, though I have to agree with the common sentiment that the included sponge is subpar. It’s definitely a better option to replace the stock sponge with a higher-quality one or use the motor to power a different filtration setup entirely. If you need a reliable, strong flow in a small footprint, this is a brilliant and cost-effective choice.

This is a really good filter, especially for cycling. I use it as a second filter in my tank. The only problem I have is that it can be difficult to get a good stream of bubbles.

I have installed this mini filter in my small 15L tank with Platy fry. the filter is quite powerful, but the power can be turned down to create a smaller current more suited to fry. It is quietly keeping the tank clean, and is easy to clean the filter sponge. The filter sponge it comes with is quite coarse, and therefore would not be suitable for baby shrimp, however, finer replacement sponges are easily obtainable through Amazon.

I’d purchased two sponge filters with power heads attached from Amazon which were rubbish and a waste of money so I bought this filter and attached the power head to a bog standard double sponge filter and it works very well. The bubbles are nice if you want to use them, if not you can easily turn them off with the little switch supplied. Full instructions on how to do this are on YouTube.

Small filter with lots of power and very quiet and good with saving space too 👍

Easy to install, took a few minutes to attach the suction cup holder to the pump but once on held it firmly to the glass, very impressed with the power which is adjustable, could not hear any noise when running, perfect for my Endler guppy nano tank. I have other Aqueal internal filters and all run really well and have had no issues with any of them.

S saca fácil y se limpia quitando la esponja. Para pocos litros ok.

Filtre livré rapidement et bien emballé. Dommage qu'il soit livré avec une prise anglaise, ce qui n'est pas précisé dans le descriptif du produit. Cela oblige d'acheter en plus un adaptateur.

Leider kann ich zum Gerät selber noch nicht viel sagen... Wäre gut gewesen wenn die Info dabei steht das der Stromsrecker NICHT der deutschen norm entspricht. Muss nun also auf den Adapter warten...
