Great latch for trailer gate, strong spring and works well
Great latch for my smaller atv trailer, simple to weld on. Spring is strong so my son has to pull pretty strongly to get them to unlatch. They snap in place strong and dont rattle or have a ton of play in the mechanism. Definitely strong and beef enough that makes me trust them

Heavy duty.
Ended up going a different route with my gate as I couldn’t make these work the way I wanted them too. I will say if you mount these directly onto something the handle could get in the way and you almost need to weld a spacer in between them. Also the little black cotter pin when you pull the pin in and out will hit whatever it’s welded too so I just grinder them down flush and it worked fine. Seem to be good quality and welded nice just went a different route.

Way better than expected.
These are for my trailer project. Putting a heavy drop gate on my trailer and these are heavy and very well made, weld on spring latches. Building a heavy duty lift gate and want to make sure it stays up when moving. These are beasts and will do just fine. I’ll do something outside pictures after mounting them. Still have rail work to do, then adjusting everything before welding, making sure, no mistakes. I do recommend these for heavy gates. There are and this is In my head more uses than just a trailer. I have a metal gate that these would be great on for latching.

Weak rollpin on otherwise great latches.
This spring latch assembly works exactly as intended and has been holding my trailer gate more than secure, even with frequent daily use.Installation was straightforward and everything functions smoothly once in place.The only downside I’ve experienced is that the roll pin within the latch is a weak point. That part broke on one unit after only a couple months. Not hard to replaceOverall, still a solid and reliable latch for the price, just something to be aware of regarding that internal pin.
