Really disappointed with these scales. I tried to find some scales to monitor my health etc and this works ok within the Xiaomi app but as a user of the samsung health gear i wanted it to sync with the app samsung app also. Samsung list this range as compatible but when trying myself it did not find it. It would seem the newer models do not work with anything other than the Xiaomi app. Oh and if you want to return it, its going to slovakia which costs over £100 and i have to pay to return it. Amazon kindly offer £15 contribution so looks like it'll be staying with me.

Just insert 3xAAA bateries and stand on a rigid surface for it to display your mass in kg. Haven't tried the app. yet from the Google Playstore. Bought as Which ? advertised as very accurate but during the heat wave the weighings were about 3% too low at a room temperature of 28 C.

I've been using the scale for a few days now and have some comments: 1) The app is complex and over-designed. I have no other Xiaomi products but I still have to install a general-purpose app in order to use this one device properly. The app is also proprietary and doesn't connect with other health apps on my phone such as Fitbit or Google Health. There appears to be no way to export data from the app. 2) The weight readings are inconsistent. I follow the instructions closely, stepping brielfy on the scale, then if I weigh myself several times in close succession, waiting for the display to turn off each time before repeating, I often get variations of 300 or 400 grams, with the 2nd or 3rd attempts usually reading less than the first one, but sometimes more. This is on a hard tiled floor. Which of these readings is correct? Any of them? The lowest one? The highest one? The average? The most recent one? The app just takes the most recent one. 3) Although sold as a bathroom scale, the small print in the booklet explicitly says it is not to be used in damp environments such as bathrooms. Seriously? 4) The BMI calculation in the app is wrong. I initially registered an incorrect value for my height and that is what it's using, despite my correcting the value later. This looks like a bug. 5) After fairly consistent readings on body fat, it suddenly jumped by 2 percent overnight, though I hadn't eaten anything out of the ordinary the day before, in fact if anything I had eaten less than usual. I intend to keep the scale for another few days before making a decision. For me the big issue is inconsistency in the weight values, but competing devices in the same price range all seem to suffer from this.
