Great stuff
I've gone back and forth with this and Plant Fusion because of price fluctuations, but keep settling back to this - for one thing, it doesn't have fructose in it. They both taste ok to me, the Plant Fusion may taste a little better, but this feels "cleaner" - I can't really put my finger on it. If you are mixing with water, the vanilla tastes better if you add some juice or Dasani drops to it, to give it a little different flavor - I love it this way. I also prefer this brand because the nutritional package as a whole just can't be beat. It is better than anything out there for the price. I just got a flash on my browser page from Amazon promoting Orgain as a better bargain, but that doesn't take into account that a serving size of the Orgain is two scoops while a serving size of the About Time (or Plant Fusion, for that matter) is 1 scoop, so no, the other is *not* cheaper (Amazon - are you listening?). Being a vegetarian, I also like that this product has iron and calcium in it. Getting enough iron is often an issue with my diet, and I'm currently avoiding dairy to see how it affects my system so the calcium is a help. The only thing I'm not too much of a fan of with this is that it *is* gritty - I don't mind that so much except it tickles my throat on the way down and makes me want to cough for just a minute after drinking this. Making a thinner drink by adding more water seems to help this quite a bit. YMMV.

The most "decent" tasting vegan protein powder I've had
Most vegan protein powders are pretty gross to me, especially ones that use pea protein. Pea protein tends to be very chalky and vegetal and hard to disguise with other ingredients. I think this product is probably the best non-soy vegan protein powder I've had. It doesn't taste "amazing" on its own, but the flavor is mild and I would say pleasant. It also blends pretty nicely with almond milk for a pretty smooth protein drink. I added a bit more stevia, vanilla extract, and instant coffee and the end result is pretty great. Can't wait to experiment further with this powder, I'll definitely buy again. I also think this protein is a pretty good value given the number of servings you get for the price.

... was priced at 40 dollars) and have become a pretty big fan of
I discovered this product on one of my trips to GNC (where it was priced at 40 dollars) and have become a pretty big fan of. Whey protein tends to leave a bloated feeling in my gut (intolerance to milk and products derived from milk) so an alternative supplement for protein was necessary. After trying multiple sources from the different vegetable brands, hemp sources and so on this is my favorite so far. I use vanilla protein for smoothies, I blend into my coffee with mct oil and a little bit of almond milk and other things so it was really important that I could be versatile with how I used the product. it does have that protein quality where if you don't drink it right away it settles into the bottom of the glass, there is a slight aftertaste but overall great product.

Great for Baking
I bought this to bake with & it has not disappointed. It mixes in well & has no weird taste (once I got used to stevia again). It's my go to ingredient to add protein to my baked goods. I'm so thankful I gave this a try after horrible experiences with other pea protein powders. All the ingredients in this protein powder work together perfectly. I am a happy customer.

It taste rare at the beginning if you are not used to it, but after you use it for a week or so you will love it. I used to use whey but was diagnose with Candida and have to stop using sugar, sucralose, maltodextrin or artificial ingredients, so decided to try this one because it is natural and sweetened with Stevia, no fillers.

For what it is (or isn't), I really like it.
My first taste was not so good either, but I have learned how to make it taste better with almond milk, blueberries (or whatever fruit), spinach (which you don't taste), uncooked oatmeal and HONEY! Especially a sweet honey such as one made with orange blossom. After the honey, it tastes just as well (because I have yet to try a whey protein or vegan protein powder that doesn't have an odd taste to it) as any other brand. This just happens to be pure and organic, and that is what I want. Only thing I DO NOT LIKE is how the scoop is buried down inside of the powder, and the powder is so dusty and clingy, by the time I fish the scoop out, I've got it all over my entire hand, my counter, my clothes, up my nose, etc. Wish they would fill the tub TO THE TOP and put the scoop in LAST so that the powder doesn't swallow the scoop during shipping.

A plant based protein powder that I like
I have issues with whey based powders and I went on the hunt for a vegetarian protein powder. I use it for fruit based breakfast smoothies with some form of fake-milk, bananas and other fruit. I don't notice the grittiness in that mix and the vanilla flavor works just find - no off taste. I also like that it doesn't make the shake too thick -- I tried some soy powder for a while and my shake was like sludge. I do occasionally throw a half-scoop into a bowl of cereal and fake milk. The flavor is fine, but the grittiness is definitely evident. That being said, I still add it, so it's not too bad in my opinion. It is definitely a better experience if I shake it with the fake milk before adding to the cereal, but a lot of times I'm too lazy to do that. It wasn't anymore gritty than brown rice protein powder. From the nutritional end, I do like that this is a blend of different plant proteins instead of a single plant protein. Update 9/4: I opened a new container and it went from 4 stars to 1 My first About Time Vegan Vanilla was bought from a local retailer and that was what my initial review was based on. The most recent batch I received is a newer lot and it tastes terrible. The color, consistency, smell and taste are all off. I called About Time and complained. I was told that this product underwent a reformulation where the ratios of the different protein powders were changed. For the record, the last lot that I liked was Z714, exp 1115 - the new lot that I didn't like was Lot Y035, exp 0416. Maybe I'll try the local retailer again and see if they have any more of the old lot. I had bought these new containers in advance and now have missed my opportunity for returning them. For the record, Oxkam had a month long return window, which is very reasonable. I do not recommend this product any longer.
