Frontier Bulk Sarsaparilla Root, Indian C/S, 1 Pound

I was wary because this is not the 'true' Sarsaparilla root....and I ordered some that was maybe true Mexican wildcrafted Sarsaparilla from Best Botanicals at the same time. I opened this one first, and wow, the root beer aroma was sweet and strong. My first infusion of it plus some other spices made a great sparkling beverage without any sugar. I opened the Best Botanicals version and wow, this Frontier version smelled so much better than the other product that I decided to do a small taste test, infusing 1 gram of each into a 2 oz boiling water for 5 minutes. This Frontier Hemidesmus indicus tea tasted delicious, even without the other spices; the Best Botanicals 'maybe' true Sarsaparilla had very little flavor, just as it had very little scent. I'll stick with this Frontier Indian Sarsaparilla Root in the future.

Opened the bag, took a whiff and Root Beer in my face. Made Root Beer and it came out great using only 1 oz to make a small syrup batch, I did also have some sassafras in it too and it would be great if this company had that too. However, this will make a fine batch of Root beer, but you need a few more ingredients to get it like Mug RB.

Smells fantastic put it in a food processor to turn to powder I will use in my coffee for taste talking about making my coffee yummy I can smell it and taste it and health benefits too ...The longer is in my coffee the better it yastes and smells

Clean you out good

The product is very aromatic upon opening. I put the roots in water and made a strong tea. Two twigs of sassafras root were added to pot for good measure but it is not necessary. I just happened to have it on hand. After boiling lightly for a few minutes I turned it off and let it cool. I strained it into a pitcher to remove the roots. I then diluted it with filtered water and added sugar to make 2 quarts of sweetened root tea. I added about 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla to add a floral scent. If the tea is very bitter, it is too strong. Continue to dilute with water. The tea should be golden brown in color, but not muddy. I did not add cinnamon or other spices as I wanted a clean sarsaparilla root beer taste. I put the tea in the Soda Stream bottle and used a little extra carbonation. As root beer turns creamy when carbonated, it is best to let it sit allowing the pressure, gas and foamy head that forms to settle before removing from soda maker. We poured the soda over ice and enjoyed the great taste of old-fashioned homemade sarsaparilla root beer!

Sarsaparrilla Herb. La raíz viene bien empaquetada en una bolsa tipo aluminio, típica de las que usa Frontier Co-Op. El tamaño de la raíz es homogéneo, alrededor de unos 3-5 milímetros. Es muy aromática, hule delicioso. Gracias por vendérmela.
