Brilliant value and works well
Such a great camera that's clear and keeps it's charge. I have mine covering the back garden which is south facing so charging isn't an issue. You can if necessary charge it using a phone charger. Connection to your homes WiFi and mobile phone is dead easy as well. You don't need a monthly subscription just a micro SD card. Another plus is the ease of installation, literally a few minutes using a screwdriver. Excellent value and a great way of increasing security.

Brilliant camera and excellent value
I bought two cameras, one for the front door to replace a Hive camera that's being phased out, and one for the back garden. They are really excellent, amazing value for the price, and the quality and features are actually better than the much more expensive Hive camera. Setup was pretty simple if you're used to pairing wifi devices, and there are lots of ways to optimise the field of view. The camera can be switched on and off via the app, and you can set it to deliver alerts just for people. I had to charge the first camera once in the winter when light levels were low, but probably my fault for not charging it fully before I installed it. Since charging, it's been at 99% all the time. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase, and would recommend it. Update 1 - I’ve now installed a second camera at the front door and it too is performing well. I particularly like the speed with which motion is notified to my phone, as the old Hive camera was very slow. My only (relatively minor) concern is that the cameras are very easy to remove from the bracket. Not sure how this could be fixed, especially as it’s actually quite helpful if I need to remove it for charging! But still five stars after 6 months use. Update 2 - both cameras still working well. One is not exposed to direct sunlight in winter and needs to be charged every couple of months. I bought a 3 m USB-C lead so that I can attach and charge the camera without having to take it off the mounting. Takes about 4 hours to charge, and the camera is operational throughout.

Good Camera
Got this camera for £21.63 on offer. Arrived on 16th and currently writing this on the 21st. I live in the UK so always cloudy and raining but surprisingly the camera has a charge of 98%. I installed the camera without charging it and it was on 60% so it’s definitely charging itself very nicely. 4 stars the camera is very good for the money and doesn’t require any cables you can place this anywhere you have a WiFi connection. I tested mine and around 20m was the cutoff point. My WiFi has split dual brand 5ghz and 2.4ghz although my camera would not connect so I had to use a TP link WiFi extender which is solely 2.4ghz and worked fine. No cable with this camera only a short type c cable to charge if needed to be. Image is clear and good quality for how cheap this camera is. Only bad thing is the recording length. If you choose not to pay for a subscription and use an sd card like I did your stuck with 10 second recordings which starts recording mid event. Example a car drove past the camera and it started recording when the car was already halfway across the camera. Would be nice to have 10 seconds of pre recording and 10 seconds of after so you can see everything. But for basically £20 you can’t complain.

Do the job very well
Great piece of kit, easy to install, and they do work very well. I use the Wansview app to see the camera footage. I have used Micro SD cards rather than subscribe to the cloud. They do take time to set up properly, but the six cameras I do have are very reliable even on cloudy days the solar panel is still able to get enough light to power the battery up. Customer service at Aoqee is also extremely good and answer your questions very quickly. Definitely recommend this product, for its ease of use, installation and most of all price and convenience of an app to monitor the camera. Cameras too are very well made.

USER FRIENDLY EXCEPTIONAL PICTURE
fantastic camera you get so many options on the app i was so happy I bought another one which you can link into your account you can add extra cameras at no extra cost the picture quality is exceptional the battery life is great as its solar power itll charge all day in winter i charged it once itll notify you before it runs out ther is a micro sd slot night vision sound i can talk to my husband if i need him when hes outside or in the shed settings are very easy to follow and you can change about see what suits you and if you want to tier up you have that option but im on the lowest and for safety and piece of mind its very affordable its 5 quid a month it has all the extras you get with the more expensive doorbell cameras at a fraction of the price i want folks to see i have cameras as a deterrence honestly you will not be disappointed its so user friendly itll notify me as much as i set it to and you have the option of choosing human detection or animals so your not notified everytime your neighbours cat comes visiting i really hope this helps

It works, but it has a lot of flaws
Pros: - Easy to set up - App has the expected features and is reliable when it comes to connection to the camera and accessing local clips saved on the SD card - Video quality is very good, its clear and sharp even at night Cons: - Battery does not keep up if its cloudy. It uses more battery than it gathers despite only doing around 3-6 10 second recordings a day. Unless you can guarantee bright sunlight, the solar panel on this unit just doesn't cut it at all. - The speaker is pretty bad, sounds very muffled, so for two way audio the person on the other side may not hear you clearly. The mic is also not that great, but its decent enough to hear conversations if they are happening near the camera e.g on my porch with the camera placed above pointing down. - The PIR detection is way, way too sensitive even on the lowest setting. I would continually get a ton of motion detections non stop by moving objects outside of the frame of capture, it was very annoying. I had to position it in a sub-optimal way just to 'fix' this, which resulted in not capturing everything I wanted to. Using the detection boundary system does not seem to have any effect on the motion detection at all, it really doesn't seem to do anything. - This camera does not record 24/7 which is to be expected with a battery powered camera, I knew this before purchasing it. It only captures when it detects motion which wakes the camera up and starts a recording. But the problem is that these recordings have a solid 3 second delay to them, so in many cases it has missed things entirely. There is also an additional second at the start of the video where it is incredibly over exposed and it adjusts to the right exposure, so the start of every clip is pretty unusable. To make matters worse, for many of these clips, they would stop at 10 seconds despite there still being clear motion happening, never extending to the full 60 second duration it has been set to, so I would only get partial clips of movement activity. - Human detection is just bad, it does not work well at all. Its very unreliable, usually not detecting clear people as people, or detecting things that are not people as people. I believe the human detection improves if you get the AI plan, but I wanted something that didnt have a subscription service. For all of these reasons I will be returning it. If the solar panel was better and more efficient at gathering power I think I would have kept it, but for this reason alone I cannot rely on it. I don't want to have to take the camera down every few days to manually charge it. I have seen there are other cameras with much bigger solar panels + the solar panel is a seperate unit that can be installed in an optimal area. These would probably work fine even on cloudy days.

2k battery camera with impressive solar charging
What’s Included. • The camera itself • A wall-mount with 360 degree swivel bracket, a drilling template, and screws with wall fixings • USB3 charging cable • Certificate of Conformity • 24H Surveillance warning sticker • Quick Start Guide Setting up Installation was the quickest I have experienced. I was pleased to see that this camera uses the WANSVIEW app, which I already had on my phone. Pressing the POWER button for 5 seconds followed by pressing the RESET button for 5 seconds resulted in the indicator light flashing alternately red and blue. These buttons are located beneath the flap on the top of the camera. After tapping the Add Device button on the app and pointing the camera at the QR code on the app, the camera announced by voice that it had successfully been added to my network. Immediately the image from the camera appeared in the app, together with my other Wansview cameras. Selecting the settings symbol resulted in a window informing me of the Wifi strength and battery charge. Next to the POWER and RESET buttons there is a USB3 slot marked DC 5V, and another marked TF. The DC 5V is for charging the internal battery should there not be sufficient sunlight to charge it during use. I did not need to charge the battery as the app informed me that it was already at near full charge. The TF (TransFlash) slot is for a memory storage card for local storage of images and video. Although it says TF, I managed to insert a 32GB micro SD card. The app detected my 32GB card then included a section for Memory Card Storage. There are a few options associated with this, like Motion alert ENABLE, when to record (scheduled or 24/7), space remaining, and action to take when storage is full (overwrite earliest recordings or stop recording). It also had options for custom recognition and notifications including person recognition. There is no need to subscribe to a cloud based subscription if using the memory card. Installation This involved mounting the camera at a suitable location. This would be a wall or any flat vertical surface where the view required is available. Note, however, that the location must have a good 2.4GHz WiFi signal. The mounting bracket is easy to fit. The template can be stuck to the surface and then the holes drilled where indicated. I found that it if the swivel mount is unscrewed form the mounting base, it was possible to hold the bracket against the mounting surface and then to drill using the holes in the base. The swivel mount has a threaded stud which screws into a socket on the back end of the camera, and the swivel bracket is held to the base by plastic collar. This should be loosely attached so that the body of the camera may be rotated and angled as required before tightening the collar. My attachment was to a wooden beam, so the supplied fixings were not required. In Use The image on the app was bright and sharp and declares itself on the image to be 2K, which is similar to High Definition (HD) or 1920 x 1080 pixels. As I watched myself on the app walking towards the camera, there was very little delay and movement was smooth. The app allows the image to display individually with options in the main screen, individually at full screen or with other Wansview cloud cameras (if any) in a grid. The settings menu provides access to various other functions built in to the camera, but at the top of the main screen is a useful indication of WiFi signal strength and the battery charge percentage. If sunlight is detected, then the battery symbol alternates between blue and green to indicate that it is charging. On testing the alert function it appeared that an alert was not triggered unless the movement was close to the camera. Checking the Motion detection settings revealed that by default these have been set to Power-save mode (see screenshot above). Clearly, with a battery powered camera it is important that the battery drain does not exceed the solar charging capability. In a British winter, I’m not sure how this will work out even in Power-save Mode. The settings available are: POWER-SAVE STANDARD PERFORMANCE SENSITIVITY LOW NORMAL HIGH DETECTION DISTANCE NEAR NORMAL FAR RETRIGGER INTERVAL 60 SECS 30 SEC 0 SECS The camera did trigger an alert and it did record me but not until I had reached the camera and started to walk away, but in the light of the above explanation I think this is acceptable. I changed them to Standard Mode, and this time an alert was triggered when I was about 5 metres away from the camera, so I think Performance mode would increase this distance further. The battery indicated that it was 60% full after running for 5 days in Power-Save mode in poor sunlight weather. After changing the settings to Standard, the battery indicated 48% after about 4 hours. However I was creating a lot of alerts in that time by walking back and forth to check it. With it still in Standard mode but with nothing to cause an alert, it is still showing 48% 2 hours later. Reviewing the alerts is achieved by selecting the Replay button on the main screen of the app. This will open a timeline showing where the alerts have occurred, and allow the video at that time to be viewed. Night vision is very good, with the built in infra-red lighting automatically switching on when darkness descends (see screenshot above). Summary A very impressive camera – easy to set up and good quality images were obtained day and night. The alert function can be adjusted between power saving and sensitivity. The only minor issue I had was the camera slipped slightly during a high winds. Make sure the swivel bracket is fully tightened. Update after 2 months’ use (Mid December to Mid February 2025) The camera has performed faultlessly, providing clear images, day and night. Particularly impressive is the fact that its solar panel has now charged the battery to 100%, as indicated on the display. No charging cable has been attached during use. This is despite the fact that I have set it to Performance Mode, with the motion sensitivity at HIGH, detection distance to FAR and retrigger interval to 0 seconds.

Nice little camera
Camera is working well and is tidy and compact. Having the built in solar panel is a good design. Will be interesting to see how well it charges in winter. The images are sharp and defined. I found their support online very prompt and helpful . Vilma checking all was good after I’d sorted my issue connecting which was a simple fix..

Best product and customer service
This camera is great does everything it should. I have 4 and I got my neighbor 2. The picture quality is excellent, you can zoom in and read a newspaper. The speaker and mic quality is great as well. Solar powered so you don’t have to worry about charging them the night vision is something else. It’s just like mid day at 2am. The clarity all the way around is simply the best and for the price, it is not the cheapest and is nowhere near the most expensive. I had an issue with one of the cameras went off line and the customer service team was right on it. They got me a replacement camera. No questions asked and took care of me, followed up to make sure that everything I got was correct and functioning properly. Best customer service you could ask for plus a great product. it’s a must have. Their dedication to customer service and product quality is 10 out of 10 if I could give them more than 5 stars I would.
