Fifa Soccer 14

I bought this game for my grandchildren therefore I cannot rate it for myself only that they love tp play it. I am rating the speed of delivery which I received the game and just before Christmas. Thanks Amy T.

It takes a little bit of time to get used to the changes to this year's addition. And with those changes comes a truly realistic soccer game. Lots of small details have been added or changed. There will always be a few things wrong with any video game, but that's not why we play- we play because it's fun and FIFA 14 delivers. Player movement is more fluid, the flow of the game is smoother. Shooting, on my gosh, is now based on momentum which is allows for more dipping, swerving and overall more realistic shooting. Defending and AI is improved, scoring is more difficult (depending on which difficulty you're on). Less fouls are called than previous versions, which was needed because often times they weren't even fouls. I don't play Ultimate Team or online very much, at all. But, Career Mode is great. If you're like me, this is where you spend most of your time. There's not a lot of changes to the mode itself but several small ones plus better menus help. I'm an avid soccer fan, love playing, watching and video games- this is very realistic and fun. Don't miss out and don't pay too much attention to negative reviews. Enjoy Fellow Soccer Hooligans! *Update 10/14/13. You MUST try Ultimate Team. I have always played career mode and enjoyed it- but since I tried Ultimate Team I haven't been able to do anything else! You owe it to yourself, try Ultimate Team!

Honestly, not too big of an improvement over FIFA 13, but this is the best sports franchise that EA makes, and it has been since at least 2004. The gameplay does feel a bit more fluid, and features like manager mode have gained new features that make it more realistic and in depth, but I've heard that the engine was completed redone for the Xbox One version, so this is certainly inferior to that. My only complaint about the 360 version is the menu system. Madden has the same issue, and I'm really getting sick of UIs taking on this tile organization. It's not intuitive, takes up way too much screen real estate, and I fear that the whole world is turning into Windows 8. EA: PLEASE bring back simple menus. I played NBA Live 08 the other day for the first time in years and it's just menus, no stupid multimedia tiles, Come on. But FIFA is awesome.
