6 years and finally lost it!
Got mine Jan 2019 and just lost it on my most recent europe trip! Thats almost 6 years! Throughout the years it became looser and looser and I had to constantly tighten. Had a few times where I thought I'd lost it if I stored my camera in a pocket or bag not the camera case I would use for long term storage. So like anywhere else that had would brush up against the grip to loosen it while on the go. It became a little ritual thing, before every shot, I'd run my thumb on the release side grip (which was very tactile and responsive) then position my hand on my hotshoe thumbgrip then pointer finger half press if I was on autofocus and click~ After shooting I'd reverse and end with running my thumb on the shutter release again to tighten via side grip and turn off the camera. I have it on a fuji x100V (previously on a a fuji x100F) so it's been on 2 cameras! It was great! May repurchase, I'm going to keep looking around amazon, but wanted to review because it was absolutely a great purchase!

Adds Comfort and Style, but Handle with Care
I've been using the JJC Soft Release Button on my Fujifilm camera, and it has enhanced my shooting experience. The button provides a more tactile feel, making it easier to half-press and capture shots smoothly. The added height and texture offer better control, especially during extended shooting sessions. Installation was straightforward, and the included rubber O-ring ensures a snug fit. However, it's essential to check the tightness regularly, as these buttons can loosen over time. Some users have reported issues with the button falling off or causing wear to the camera's shutter mechanism if not properly secured. While the button adds a touch of elegance and improved functionality, it's crucial to handle it with care. Ensure it's securely fastened and avoid over-tightening to prevent potential damage. Overall, it's a valuable accessory for those looking to enhance their camera's ergonomics and aesthetics.

A Great "Soft Release" Button for Most DSLRs and Mirrorless Cameras
What is a "soft release" button? If you've never used one before, you might be ready for an eye-opener. You see, many cameras employ a shutter release button that works just fine, but is relatively small. This makes you have to push in a somewhat specific manner to engage the shutter and take the shot. What a soft release button like does is screw into the shutter release button (check your camera, and you might be surprised to see there is a screw hole in there you never noticed before, typically used for a cable-release mechanism) and thereby provide you with a much larger, and rounded, shutter release. This servers two functions. First, it makes the shutter much more comfortable to press because of the weight of your finger is now spread over a larger surface area. It instantaneously changes the shooting experience of most cameras. In fact, so much so that you scratch your head and wonder why these are not just normal accessories supplied with every camera! It makes pressing the button so much easier and more comfortable that once you start using one, you'll probably never want to go without one again! Its amazing how such a small addition to a camera can make such a difference in the "feel" of the shooting experience. But the second reason is that the soft-release button can actually help you take sharper photos. How, you might ask? Well, normally you press down on a shutter button, and that press slightly shakes the camera. The soft release button, however, because it is larger and rounder, allows you to engage the shutter with more of a ROLLING manner, where you roll your finger over the button rather than just push straight down. It takes a little bit of practice and you have to learn a new habit of shooting, but once you do, it can really be used to good advantage. This particular model is of good quality and looks nice, as well. Moreover, they provide two small rubber grommets so that you can put it under the screw (just one of them) so that it helps keep the button in place and not unscrew itself from use and fall off. (The fact that they provide two is really great.) And the price is really reasonable for what you get. I can highly recommend it.

A solid shutter button that gives that higher end look IMO
Love the feel and quality of this shutter button. Easy to install and came with a rubber stopper which helped with a better fit. In hand it matches the camera real nice and gives it that extra flash. Easy to find where the shutter button is when you hand it to a stranger. I have multiple versions of this shutter and love the feel.

Among the many variations of this type of device, these are a pretty good option.
For those of us who are photographers, and who have cameras that have screw holes in their shutter release buttons (dependent upon brand), then you know that there are tons of these soft shutter release button styles out there. The lists of these are endless, so why purchase this JJC one? So why even purchase an after-market soft shutter release add-on? Well, they feel much more comfortable. As those of you with big (thick) fingers may have experienced, trying to depress a stock shutter button, whose top portion is flush with the camera body, may become frustrating. Screwing on one of these after-market buttons, raises the contact point, and initiating the shutter release becomes a cinch. These JJC versions have a thin rubber coating around the top portion, making these soft shutter release buttons more tactile feeling (comfortable), and your fingers won't slip off (if that's even a problem - perhaps for some in hot, sweaty weather). Now the inevitable question that arises is, "Are these soft shutter release buttons worth the almost $9 price each? Well, in my humble opinion...NO! After all, how many times can somebody invent a new mouse trap - it's just a simple design and yet it seems that every other month, somebody is releasing another design (which is still the same old design). These are Asian made and thus the economies of scale make these a dime a dozen - so why charge almost $9 each (that's 1000+% profit, considering what they cost to make, which is a few cents)? What makes these special, as I mentioned, is that they have a light rubber coating. I'd say charge no more than $2 - $4 each (you will still make a ton of profit because you will sell more) and forget about the fancy boxes - put them in a small zip lock bag. Now, here's a "beware" to Fuji camera photographers. Those of you with Fuji cameras (most Fuji models, but not necessarily all) should be careful when screwing on these after-market soft shutter release buttons. And why? Many of those shutter release buttons have very shallow screw shafts that don't allow you to screw after-market soft shutter releases all the way down. This results in a gap between the top of the camera's shutter button and the bottom portion of the after-market soft shutter release. In addition, Fuji cameras have been known to have less than ideal shutter button construction (internally - usually a thin all plastic design). There have been many cases (mine included) whereby the camera strap (with the camera sitting in a camera bag) can catch on that gap while pulling a camera out of a bag, thus ripping the entire shutter button out of the camera. When that occurs, it becomes a frustrating scenario to be sure and unfortunately, that requires you to send the camera back to Fuji for repair. And for older Fuji camera models, repair can no longer be initiated due to lack of parts. So out of the multitude of soft shutter release button styles, I'm giving these 5 stars because of the nice rubber feeling coating on them, but still - in my professional opinion, they are not worth almost $9.

Quality built shutter release for cameras with tiny shutter buttons.
Small but well designed and crafted “soft” shutter release for my Fujifilm camera. The included rubber grip helps keep it from unscrewing and coming loose. Excellent seller and product.

Does not fit RX1RM2
According to the info in Amazon this should fit the RX1RM2 which has the same shutter release as the RX1RM3. The shaft on the button is too narrow and short to be useable. Other items purchased from JJC have been very good and this was a disappointment.

Great Value and Quality!
This soft release button, quality wise, is on par with camera brand items that cost 5 (or more) times more than this JJC soft release. They work perfectly, and it includes an o-ring to help secure the soft release. I like them so much that I purchased 4 of of the JJC soft releases for each of my cameras that can use these. Thank you JJC!!

Nice addition for Fujifilm cameras
Nice item to use on the X-T series of Fujifilm cameras. Must have the gasket on otherwise the button will eventually fall off. Some people claim that it damaged their camera shutter buttons but I have had no issues and have used on numerous cameras over the past 6 or 7 years.
