Super Ninja Fruit Fly Traps for Indoors, 4 Pack

These worked great for me. They work at night. During the day the flies seemed mostly interested in other things besides the traps. However in the morning, looking at the bottle, I could see that the trap had caught a number of them over night. The trap also works best if you can get a handle on the source of new flies getting inside. I found out that the flies were getting into the house through a screen door with a mesh that had screen holes that were wide enough for the flies to fly right through. Once that source of entry was dealt with, the traps quickly caught the remaining flies in the house and the problem seemed to stop. I put the traps in the kitchen, on a window sill. The flies are attracted to the kitchen due to food smells, so keeping the traps there worked very well. I also had a lesser problem with them in the bathroom where I believe they were coming out of the sink drain. Again I put the traps on the window sill and closed the bathroom door at night. In the morning, I could see several dead flies in the trap. These traps worked well for me, so 5 stars.

I tried 3 different brands of liquid fruit fly attractant: in this home for 25 yrs but had never had a fruit fly problem in my life, they must have come in w/fruit which we don't buy a lot of: found out one female lays 500 eggs...This product, Super Ninja Fruit fly traps- I put several of these pre-filled bottles out for days but SUPER NINJA FRUIT FLY TRAPS DID NOT CATCH A SINGLE FRUIT FLY, compared to Terro brand used in the red plastic tomatoes, which worked well. I even tried the Super Ninja bait in the red Terro plastic tomatoe containers as some ads claimed the color + shape of the vessel played a role in attracting bugs but still no luck. The excellent Terro brand even worked well in a clear glass baby food jar. Terro works well, I see several of the fruit flies in the liquid. However, the tomatoe shaped plastic holders can tip easy, its a sticky, stinky liquid for which the company in South America would not tell me if it has a percent of poison in it- many of their products do, + they only give the number of poison control, + insist that the formula is 'proprietary information'. But after trying 3 brands, will stick w/Terro even though it does not sell a large container of liquid (I do not need more plastic tomatoe holders plus glass baby food jars worked just as well) Have put the Terro liquid bait-filled plastic tomatoes in clear plastic cups (clear so insects could see the red fruit shape), as the tomatoes have many preferations, which is good, but they are light-weight, tip + spill easily. However, the flat rectangular shape of the bottles of the Super Ninja Fruit fly Traps, though the liquid they came with is useless, the bottles w/their flat walls can be attached to any flat surface or wall w/a sticky strip; That had been my intent when I ordered them so I did not have to worry about containers spilling or space to put them down in or my cat getting to one... As the Ninja contents have proved useless, I will empty + rinse them out so I can fill them w/Terro attractant. will report if the insects will use these glass containers. While I had planned to take advantage of the flat walls of the Ninja glass containers + a photo in the Ad may have suggested they could be stuck to a wall, I was surprised that they came w/a pre-attached silicone sticky strip pre-attached for that purpose (one should use a spatula to remove the sticky strip and bottle intact from the wall (they are silicone w/adhesive + residue can be easily removed). There was one other brand of 25 vials which also did not catch a single fruit fly- even when used in Terro's tomatoe shape, which I also do not recommend, 'Qualirey 20 Pack Fruit Fly Trap Refill Liquid'... Do not recommend the Super Ninja Fly Traps because the bait does not work, at least for my fruit flies in Connecticut; but I still need to substitute Terro liquid bait in their their rectangular glass containers a+ see if the insects will then use them before I formally recommend the containers themselves- they have a yellow funnel on top. However, $39.99 plus tax is a high price to pay for the 12 glass containers which I will need to empty out to use with Terro brand liquid- if the bugs will use that container w/Terro bait.

These were way more effective than Terro red baits. I had a fruit fly disaster coming back from vacation and forgetting to empty fruit left overs from trash bin. I had hundreds of flies in my kitchen. I bought these baits, Terro red baits and yellow sticky pads. Each one of these little jars accumulated at least 50 flies per tiny bottle, there were also tens of flies stuck to the yellow sticky pads. Terro jars were least effective. Each bait accumulated up to 10 flies. It seems that the flies were initially attracted to Terro jars but then easily escaped them, while Ninja jars (this product) trapped them for good. Overall, I recommend yellow sticky pads (sold on Amazon) and these Ninja jars, skip Terro baits.

I got a bag of peaches that were not quite ripe so I left them in my fruit basket overnight. Next morning my kitchen was overcome with fruit flys. I tried cleaning and washing and nothing seemed to help get rid of all of them. In fact, even after removing all the peaches, the flys were still there. In my garbage, in the sink, everywhere! So I went online and bought these for overnight delivery. They were here the next morning. I was somewhat taken back by how small the jars were. Smaller than the smallest perfume bottle I’ve ever seen. But hey, at this point I was pretty desperate. The little box came with instructions but recommended scanning the QR code which I did, only to have it come back in German. Well, Anyhow, I opened one bottle and put it in my sink and within 30 minutes it had a bunch of the flys on the lip. I opened the other bottle and put on my counter and lo and behold by the end of the day they were all gone! Each bottle had about an 1/8” of flys dead inside! A great product and I’ll buy again!

I bought the first two traps above, started using them, then when they caught fewer than expected, used a rechargeable handvac to catch most of the remaining flies but also purchased and added the last two traps. I then left the house for 10 days for a trip and upon returning examined the traps. Here are the results: 1. Super Ninja caught way more flies than all of the others (30 or 40). 2. Terro caught the next many, perhaps 1/3 the number caught by Super Ninja (~10). 3. Aunt Fannies and Wondercide caught the fewest -- 3 and 2 flies, respectively. 4. Homemade trap (apple cider vinegar with soap in an open bowl) -- 0 flies This was not a scientifically setup test. For one, I used more Terro and Super Ninja traps than the others, and there were more flies in the house when I used them. Nonetheless, I was surprised to see how many Super Ninja caught. I say this because I watched the flies examining the traps. They generally landed and explored, but didn't go in. (I guess they later went in, after all.) They landed more on Wondercide and Super Ninja than I saw them landing on the others. Wondercide smelled the strongest, had significant residue at the bottom and says to shake it up. However it was by far the most expensive, didn't catch many flies, the usage instructions were contradictory, and it is a much larger container than needed. The Super Ninja were small, convenient (came with a screw-on lid and no need to pour liquid like the Terro traps require), and came with 4 traps. If I need more traps in the future, I will buy those from Super Ninja. I don't give it 5 stars because some fruit flies still ignored it and all of the traps.

Works great. Just unscrew the cap and watch as they disappear. Dosent last super long, but typically the wipe one of these provides is semi permanent for the area I’ve found. I love the little sticky part on the side to prevent it from tipping over. Overall a great product

Not very effective. I even added yeast and I caught maybe 3 flies my homemade traps do better. Sometimes I just don't want to bother making them so I was hoping this worked. They are very nice size to push near and tape on back to hide in the window. Can be more discreet in its size ! Easy to use & discard. I think it might be how it's funnel is too big.

These things are TINY .. 3 stars for price. So far the fruit flies are going on the lid but haven’t entered. I’ll update if they do. It’s been out for 6 hours and none are in yet. ** updated to four stars. Tiny but mighty. Second picture is after being out overnight.

Simple yet amazing product. Does what it should do. The problem disappeared within two days with a single bottle in the kitchen. Really satisfied.

Sharing from North Brisbane. I bought these on the 29th July, it's now the 8th August. This is how many of the little turds this trap caught. As you can see it's amazingly effective. Between these traps and me with my electric zapper thing it's helping the problem for sure. Annoyingly though, as there was never this many in the house at one time which indicates they're coming in from outside rather than breeding in the house, which presents a problem that the traps can't fix unfortunately. I sprayed strong weedkiller all around the outside of the house and down the drains yesterday which actually seems to have made quite a difference, so that might be a tip for anyone else with the same problem.

I primi giorni non funzionava, poi ho capito che bisogna far in modo che l'imbuto giallo sia impregnato del liquido per attirarci bene i moscerini (basta avvitare il tappo e capovolgere la bottiglietta una volta e ritogliere il tappo). Molto efficace e discreto, lo consiglio ho risolto il problema
