Silverstone Flex Series FX350-80Plus Power Supply

It's a nice little psu the 40 mm fan does make just a tad bit more noise than a standard 80-120 mm one but with this I can throw the pc in a backpack and be on my way.

Nice compact PSU which fits nicely in even the most cramped chassis. The big problem with it is the truly crazy noise levels it puts out. Running with an ARM board with a single NVMe drive (probably about 70-80w) the noise output is easily the loudest component in my entire rack. It's worse than a graphics card under full load .. and I can hear it in the next room. If you buy this you need to factor in another 10 or 11 ukp for a silent fan. I recommend the noctua NF-A4-10.

Very disappointed, I figured getting a high wattage unit for my NAS that claimed low noise would mean the fan could slow down due to never being heavily loaded. Sadly as seems to be the case for all FlexATX PSUs, it doesn't have a PWM fan so it sounds the same regardless of load and doesn't seem any quieter than the PSU my case came with. Its not a bad PSU, I'd expect it to last a long time due to being more efficient with low-load compared to the stock PSU, but I had really hoped it would be quieter. Its such a shame the best NAS cases compromise on the PSU, as just moving up to SFX you can find PSUs that are almost completely silent. Its rather bizarre as you can find external power bricks up to around 250W that are much quieter than this, so not sure why nobody has managed to make a FlexATX that is quiet. I can only guess its because typically FlexATX is for rack mounted hardware where noise level is not an issue.

Love this very professionally designed power supply. From the braided cables, to the excellent power delivery, the mining rig loves this more than me!

I had read reviews about this PSU, and various hacks replacing the PSU fan. However I mistakenly figured that since the machine would not be under much load (it was previously running in an Antec ISK110 with a 90w PSU) that it would not be loud or possibly not need to spin the PSU fan up at all. This is NOT the case and the PSU fan runs constantly with a persistent whirring sound. I had to rebuild the machine a second time into a different case as I could not stick the noise. If noise is an issue, I would not recommend :(

Don’t expect this PSU to be quite on load or not fan is loud Like a jet taking off ok in a server room Not for hole or quote office if you want silent pc Was bought to replace a loud psu but it his was even louder shocking to be honest not impressed at all

This is probably the easiest to get Flex ATX PSU out there, but it comes with some caveats. The cables are stiff and difficult to move around. The cables are also probably going to be too long or too short for your application, and there are probably going to be too many of them. It's also not quiet. The fan can adjust, and does start out quiet, but for me the fan ramps up and never ramps down. On the plus side it is easy to get, it's relatively cheap for a Flex ATX PSU, and it's from a brand name.

Great little psu if you don’t mind the noise, definitely considering changing out the fan for a quieter one as this is the loudest part of my itx rig.

Speedy delivery of a product as described by the seller and for the best price on serach at the time of purchase. A quality brand name product I am happy to have purchased.
