This valve set is highly polished and has a nice modern style. It comes all wrapped up in little cloth bags so as to not get scratched or damaged. This valve is nice since I want the water volume control as well as hot and cold control. No big box stores sell this type anymore! Thanks, Hammerhead! In every dimension the valve and valve body is larger than my old American Standard valve. That was okay since I had to cut the old valve body out and that meant there was the right amount of space to solder in this unit with no extra fittings required. It is nice that this one has shut-offs for the water if the valve cartridge ever goes bad: just pop the bad out and replace. You’ll not have to take a wall apart. The only thing I was unsure about is there is a plastic cover over the valve that says “Ensure the shower valve does not exceed this line.” This could be better explained ( I still don’t know what it refers to). But overall, it was not difficult to install. It’s just a standard shower valve. Coordinating it to a new acrylic shower stall was the only tricky thing since I had to make the shower valve stick out from the wall another inch to accommodate the shower stall being another inch offset from what I had before. That’s probably what that instruction refers to but just trial and error during a mock-up allowed me to figure it out to is proper placement.

This is the highest quality shower parts that I have found. I love, love, love the look! I highly recommend Hammerhead products. I’m buying a second set for my guest bathroom. Not cheap, but well worth the money. Also get the shower head filter. Your hair and skin will thank you.

I got a used like new one and it was in fact like new. Had to replace an old delta ball valve that I twisted trying to disassemble for rebuild. This was wider than my old one due to the screw stops so I did pex on the supply ports and sweat the tub and shower ports. Trim and handle went on easily looking pretty good. I like the rubber seal on the trim plate that goes over the cartridge. I have noticeably more water pressure from my shower head. Two things to note are to make sure the mount plate is adjusted so the trim screws don’t hit it. Second thing is that when you install the screw stops after sweating on copper fittings and crack the stops to clear the lines before installing cartridge make sure to have something for the water to hit since they are angled and will shoot to the sides!

I’ve been using this for several months and it is everything I hoped for. I had done quite a bit of research before choosing and it is VERY high quality .. my plumber was quite impressed and made notes on brand and model.

I spend hundreds of dollars to install this valve and it has terrible preassure. It looks pretty but it does not allow the water to pass through!!! I have another shower.ik the room right next door with great pressure so i know the issue is the valve and not my water preassure. I cant even return the item because they give no garantee!!!!!

excellent quality, super easy to install, even for a first-time installer. I wait to give my review until after installation, just to make sure it was working as it should.
