My daughter spends some time every day with this. If one spends a small amount of time each day at an early age, they will become proficient readers as they grow. It's all in the presentation and making it fun. Of course as grandparents we see the light and encourage regular efforts. As they say practice makes permanent. Was I an avid reader ? in grade school yes, in HS not so much.
