I absolutely LOVE this bread box! We use the Sunbeam "Giant" sandwich bread, so it was important to me to have a bread box that was long enough for a full loaf, and this one is perfect! We keep regular bread on the bottom and buns, crackers, etc on the top. There's enough room behind the loaf of bread for a couple rolls of crackers, too of you wanted. It looks super nice on my counter and I get compliments on it every time somebody new sees it. The doors lift up and slide in which is nice because then you don't have a door taking up space on your counter top when it's opened. I will say this, you do need to be gentle with it when opening, as the doors have a peg on each side that slides into the "track" that is pre-carved into the wood box itself and if you don't put the thing together precisely right, it ever so slightly "hangs up" and doesn't slide open as smoothly. (This happened to me and now the top door doesn't slide open as easily as the bottom door.) If you have small children that will be using it, this might not be the one for you. It's not terribly difficult to put together, but it took me and my husband to complete ours because you need someone to hold the sides of the box in the correct place when it comes time to attach them. There's a lot of steps to it, so being able to follow directions is also important. The box we chose is black on the outside and the shelves are bamboo, it looks really nice together! It has a vintage and modern look at the same time. Oh and the packaging is the absolute BEST and NICEST packaging I've ever seen! Seriously, when you get something packaged that nicely, you know it's quality! It was well worth the price and I would not hesitate to buy it again!

I have always had this dilemma on where to store my bread. I don't like it cold, so the refrigerator is out for me. So, I was keeping the bread, my English muffins, rolls, etc. in the microwave. Of course, that meant every time I had to use it, everything had to be removed, then put back. I did that for a long time... years! But then I remembered the bread boxes from when I was a kid. Went searching and found this one. I love it! It was a bit challenging to put together. Maybe annoying is a better word. But I managed it by myself (and I am an old lady). Rearranged some things and have it on a server, right next to my kitchen. I was immediately thrilled. Everything fits: bread, muffins, rolls, even dessert! It comes with felt to put on the bottom, but I had an extra rubber mat from my old oven and it looks perfect under it. It is stable, which is good because I am in and out of it all the time. On the top of the box, I have a trivet with a small pretty watering can on top as well as a tray for cocktail napkins. Had company visiting after I put it out and I was surprised at the compliments I got on it. It really is good looking, with it being made of dark wood and the frosted glass (although I think it might be plastic). It has an old-fashion look, with a modern twist. Bread stays fresh and out of sight. I wish I would have gotten it sooner! It has only one small issue and that is that there are small metal divots to guide the doors when sliding up. I have one that has popped out a few times. A little glue would solve the problem, but it hasn't bothered me enough to try it.

It does look nice on my counter, and is very roomy! Right now we have two loaves of bread and three bags of bagels fitting very comfortably, plus we could use the top of it as a shelf for pastries, etc. Assembly wasn't too bad, except the little pegs that are meant to guide the doors when it's upright won't stay put when assembling on its side. Just put the ones that fall out back into place after it's together. Also, since I was putting it together solo, I am grateful for the reviewer who suggested to slide the doors into the unit, rather than try to hold them in place or tape them, when you have to line everything up to attach the final side. That made it much easier to complete!

I absolutely love this bread box! It looks much more expensive than it is and really helped organize my countertop. The bamboo finish is beautiful, and it has plenty of room to store bread or hide everyday kitchen items. It gave my kitchen a much cleaner, more organized look. The only downside was that assembly took a little time and the instructions could have been a bit clearer. It wasn’t difficult enough to take away a star—it just required a little patience. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, functional countertop organizer.

This bread box was so easy to assemble and looks great when done! It fits nicely on my counter and really adds to my kitchen space. The two shelves give plenty of room for bread, rolls, bagel or anything else you would like to use it for. The color basic and classic making it easy to coordinate with anyone’s color scheme.

I love this! Exactly as pictured, easy assembly. I wasn't sure how much it would store, so I was very surprised by it's large capacity! The windows hide what is inside, and it looks pretty sleek on the counter.

This is a DIY assembly! Black distressed: It looks classy, great size, can store away 4pk muffins large Hawaiian rolls, loaf of bread, 6pk bagels easily. HOWEVER: the doors are TERRIBLE. I contemplated giving up on the doors that's how bad it is. The directions are lacking. Especially for the orientation of the middle shelf to be out of the way of the back panel groove. The pegs that guide the drawers DO NOT slide without force and don't stay even. Awful. The metal dowel stoppers for the doors fall out so the holes are incorrectly drilled. Looks are deceiving. Now, it's not like you'll stand there constantly opening the doors but you definitely want them to function well the few times you'll use them vs failing at the one simple job they have. Consensus: over priced & under delivered. If you're on the fence with choosing this bread box vs another- go with the other. Pictures and video included. Freshness: TBD but unlikely because doors suck. Organization: the only thing going well for this bread box. Fit: meh... 7/10 Sturdiness: this is heavy and everything but the doors are well. Color: as expected Doors: despicable Assembly: 8/10- not too shabby except for direction issues as mentioned previously

Super cute and pretty easy to put together. It took me just under an hour, but I that included dealing with a nosey dog getting in the way and waiting on my husband to help hold it up while I screwed some of the pieces together. It's super sturdy and very spacious. Looks really nice once it's put together. Perfect addition for our kitchen.
