I grow basil and salad leaves during the summer, but am keen to move away from bagged salad and decided to give this a try to keep the leaves coming all year long. The equipment appears to be well made, with an easy-to-follow instruction booklet. The kit itself is bigger than I thought - too big for my windowsill - but should mean plenty of room for salad and herbs to grow. The lights are very bright and can be set for either veg or fruit, and the lighting hood moves up and down on a sturdy arm as the plants hopefully grow. There is a quiet fan in the hood (low hum) and a pump in the well, which I can't hear. It works on a timer, providing 16 hours of light and regular water flow. You could easily set this up to provide light overnight, which might make it less distracting during the day if it bothered you - though, I quite like the pink hue. I have ordered some different seeds to try (ghost chillies, coriander and salad), though have started off with some basil, rocket and chard to see what happens. Will post an update in a month or two, when I should have something to show! The kits comes with two bottles of fertiliser, which should last a good few months. The sponges, I think are reusable to a degree, but you get 24 to start you off and you can buy replacements. You obviously get the pots and some germination caps, plus a load of plastic plant labels, which are probably unnecessary for me. The base unit is 35 x 26 cm, if you're considering a particular spot. Just to have to wait to how things grow! Overall, happy so far for the price, but will update in a month or two.

I recently purchased this for my wife as she is keen to do more gardening, however we do not have a huge amount of space and also have to put up with our typical wet and cold British weather, so after researching ideas I came across this product so she could try something new for growing herbs or starting off some of her other seeds, before transferring to the garden or her (hopefully soon, allotment). I personally liked the idea of having something small and compact, without a great deal of messy soil and she gets to try something new during lockdown; result! It arrived on time via Prime, and was well packaged in an outer Amazon box with its own cardboard box inside. Upon opening that, the item itself is well secured with protective packaging to keep it secure in transit. Each item inside was well packed and in its own box or bag along with a nice guide to help you get setup and using it quickly. Getting it setup is quick and straightforward, and has everything you need to get going (pump, soil foam pods to put your seeds in, labels to write what seeds you've planted, plastic covers to keep the seeds protected, and bottles of plant food to help them grow!). From looking on Amazon it doesn't look like replacements are too expensive either so shouldn't cost too much to keep using it in the future. The light unit has modes for both fruit and veg, depending what you're growing, while it also has controls for the turning the fan and water pump on/off. So far so good from my initial impressions and getting setup. Now it's over to my wife to really enjoy it and grow things but she is indeed very happy with my surprise gift!

Had the product less than a week. First impression were that it was much better than I expected, in a good way. It was easy to put together and came with lots of bits (although no seeds). The water container is easier to fill and monitor the level on. The controls are very easy to use. It is less than a week so nothing growing yet but it seems to be doing a good job. The fan is slightly noisy but bearable. It looks modern and good on the side.

During lockdown, I was looking for a hobby and saw this device which seemed interesting as I wanted to plant some herbs and peppers. I thought I would unpack it with a video, which I added to this review. Setting up took me less than 5 mins. There are instructions, but it is intuitive and easy. You add three parts together, and it’s there. Planting seeds was so refreshing. I felt like an indoor farmer. It has been running for a few hours, and I find the water pump noise not too loud and it is nice to have a bit of light in the living room coming from this device. It is so affordable but sturdy. I am impressed. Even my cat loves it (as you can see from the video)!

Bought this as birthday present for myself.I was excited when I got it.Put all my seeds.The LED lit up for 1 hour only then totally stopped working.I checked all connections but even the power do not turn on anymore. I contacted customer service written on the booklet who was accommodating & told me they will contact their technician.But apparently they will reply after few days as technician is not based in UK.2 days now & I am still waiting. So I am now using the counter tap light to warm my seeds instead of the LED light. Too expensive product for the hassle that it caused me. Update: After few days,I managed to get hold of the technical team.Under warranty they just replaced the faulty unit which I am grateful about. I can now give this product 5 stars after using it for 25 days.The customer support communicated well through email.Sent the product replacement on time with good packaging. I like the convenience of timer as it prompts the machine when to switch on the LED light.The sound is not so noisy. I noticed that my plants grew faster than those I planted on soil at the same time.They are also healthy & strong plants. The only concern I have is the sponge sometimes build up molds & still trying to figure out how to avoid it. Otherwise,I’m now happy with this product. Thanks to the technical support team that helped me when the machine was faulty.

Planted strawberries and a few tomatoes, wanted to see how they developed. Both excelled, and it works brilliantly. Very easy to maintain. But you can't buy their solution. So what do you do when it runs out..? There is a pretty limited amount that comes with this pack. I commented on this and was sent a link to an Amazon page that is yet (3 months later) to have any stock. I will try some other hydroponic solutions, but would prefer to easily be able to purchase from these guys, as the kit works. The Tomatos reached the lights at their lowest level after 2 weeks, and the strawberries were just seedlings. Pulled the Tomatoes to keep the strawberries, which are now flowering. No point though if you cant top up with more solution...

I moved from a village to a town and one of the things i had to sacrifice was my garden and i have missed this for the two years i have lived here. I have always looked at a system like this and after researching and reading up and looking at reviews i chose this product to fill the void created by living in a town! I love a well packaged product, instantly sets a precedent when a product has nice packaging and this product was up there with apple for packaging. Everything is boxed and sealed in bags neatly and labeled and the instructions are easy to follow with plenty of pictures. Setup of the kit was easy and it doesn't look out of place anywhere in the house, i would advise to not set it up in your bedroom or any area you might want to keep light to a minimum, it's very bright! The kit even comes with nutrient bottles so you can food to the water, plenty of insert sponges for two grows. Replacements aren't that expensive either. The kit also comes with blanks to blank off the holes you aren't using, for example if your growing something that needs more space you can space the pods in use out (see picture!). The light unit has the controls on it, you can manually turn the fan and water pump off which is handy, but it doesn't make much noise, i think it's more for when you are putting your seeds in or working on the plants. There are two modes for the lights, one for veg and one for fruit, from past knowledge of growing things each type of plant requires different parts of the light spectrum which helps beginner growers no end! So far i'm very impressed and will get alot of enjoyment from this, we have planted up and i'm going to sit back and wait, updates to follow soon!

Disappointing although the seeds are growing after a fashion the electrics are poor. The on off switch stopped working after a month. I don’t think the product is very durable.

This is my first indoor/hydroponic garden so I don't have anything to compare to. Thus, this review is based solely on my initial thoughts on this product. I have the 12 hole garden and received it earlier than expected. Packaging is well done and the product arrived in one piece. Nice box with quality foam packing molded to the garden inside. Once opened and removed the garden comes out in two pieces; the light panel and the main body. All other parts/accessories are packaged neatly inside the water tank area (along with the light panel arm). Assembly is easy and straightforward with well written instructions. I was able to have everything put together in less than 15 minutes including mixing the nutrients and adding seeds to the sponges. The footprint is not very large so I was able to find a corner behind my bar to give it a home. Build quality seems robust and the materials seem quality. Here is where I can't compare to the other brands, but I can assume it's close to equivalent. As for features, it isn't very high tech, no app to control anything or warnings for low water levels so of you are looking for something with less user input this may not be for you. I prefer less tech sometimes as it means less things to break and easier to modify to my needs. I've had it for two days now, so I will update this review after a few weeks once I start getting some growth. My only complaint so far is the light panels max height of around 11 inches. It limits what can be grown. However, the power for the panel is external and with a few minor modifications I think it can be extended higher to accommodate taller plants at some point. So far I am pleased with the garden and hope to be enjoying the bounty to come soon enough. I started with 6 herbs as a test (Basil,Dill,Oregano, Parsley, Cilantro, and Thyme) and will go from there.

J'ai reçu cette petite serre d'intérieur pour mon anniversaire et j'en suis plutôt satisfaite pour le moment (2 mois) La mise en place est plutôt facile Le manuel explique très bien comment tout fonctionne avec des images Il y a une alimentation secteur (qui doit être branchée 24h sur 24) Et un câble qui va de la pompe jusqu'en haut de la serre Les éponges de culture sont fournies, ainsi que les supports d'éponges, les capuchons a mettre dessus et les petits panneaux pour savoir ce qu'on plante Il y a aussi deux nutriments avec, à diluer avec de l'eau au moment du remplissage du bac, bien utiles pour que les plants se développent vite ⚠️Par contre il n'y a aucune graine vendues avec, il faudra les acheter en même temps que la serre Deux modes possibles : - fruits & fleurs - légumes La serre s'allume et s'éteint seule à la fin de ses cycles, une fois le cycle lancée il n'y a plus rien à faire, à part renouveller l'eau tous les 14 jours environ Pour l'instant, j'ai eu quelques beaux plants : basilic, melon, pastèque que j'ai pu replanter La croissance dépend de la saison, du temps, des types de graines.. certaines poussent au bout d'un ou deux jours quand d'autres mettent 2 semaines à commencer Le niveau sonore est pour moi pas du tout dérangeant quand le niveau d'eau est sur 4 L minimum (plus le niveau d'eau baisse, plus la pompe sera bruyante) Je recommande donc ce produit qui est facile d'utilisation, d'entretien et qui fait très bien ce qu'on attend de lui 😁

Der Versand klappte super. Die Lieferung war am nächsten Tag schon da. Die Verpackung war optimal und ließ sich gut öffnen. Beim auspacken und ersten anfassen erschien uns das Gerät als qualitativ hochwertig, was sich im weiteren Verlauf immer wieder bestätigte. Das Zusammenbauen war kinderleicht und klappte auf Anhieb ohne dabei die Anleitung lesen zu muessen. Also eine top Ergonomie und Nutzererfahrung. Beim Bepflanzen ergaben sich keinerlei Probleme da gerade dieser Vorgang sehr verständlich beschrieben ist. Der Einsatz des Düngemittels lässt sich wunderbar dosieren. Auch hier ist die Anleitung super. Nun freuen wir uns auf unseren ersten, frischen Salat, der bereits nach 3 Tagen zu Keimen begann. Das Gerät steuert sich komplett selbst, wenn man die richtige Pflanzenart einstellt. Beim Nachfüllen mit Wasser muss man ein wenig aufpassen, da die Oeffung recht klein ist. Insgesamt eine tolle Sache zu einem super Preis.
