I've always successfully used a 12" adjustable to remove cassettes, but after struggling to free a cassette which had seen two winters this was my last hope before reluctantly visiting my LBS.It worked effortlessly the first time. The trick is to stand the wheel vertically while trapping the chain whip under an immovable object - in my case a bracket fixing my garage door to the frame - therefore leaving you with both hands to push down on the removal tool. It really was so simple.A very effective tool to have in your collection.
