Tadpole to Frog Kit with Book, Certificate for 2 Live Tadpoles and Habitat

This was a fun and educational experience for my family. Our four tadpoles all arrived quickly and were in good health! They all successfully completed metamorphosis and are now the cutest little frogs. I only wish I knew the species! I would absolutely recommend ordering this kit, with two caveats: (1) Beware that once the tadpoles start growing limbs they develop into frogs very quickly and they will jump- we had a tadpole/froglet jump out of his habitat while changing the water. (2) More importantly, be mindful of the commitment to care for your new pet frogs after observing the metamorphosis process- this includes acquiring an appropriate habitat and maintaining it, as well as having feeding the frogs live insects.

Dont do it find another supplier in have done this multiple times for multiple kids. I get waiting to ship 6 weeks for weather but not communicating then sending some tiny tiny tadpoles that look like decomping water monkeys. Glad I waited to let my 8yo know they arrived. No way they were alive when shipped unless the mailman held onto them. Their parts are falling off Update they do have a live guarantee and did send two more. They are quite small and im not very confident but I will keep updating. IF I do or did this again though I would still order the tadpoles from them, but I would not get this set. It's pretty small and I am sure I am going to be buying at least a 10 gallon or bigger at some point. Update after three tries I give up. They ship snail mail and super young and im tired of devastating my son. We ordered 2. The first 2 came dead and decaying. They tried again and 1 made it to us but died hours later. The third time they sent the one that came dead and that also came dead and decaying. Im sure I could send pics and try a 4th time but it seems cruel at this point. Years ago I did this multiple times. We got eggs and they sent extra and it was a blast. We did another with tadpoles and they were bigger and more hardy. Wish I could remember what company because this one said she gets from multiple suppliers and sizes vary. That also tells me why they are so stressed and keep dying (other than the fact they come through snail mail) Buy a 10 gallon aquarium amd go to a pet store or a pond. Such a waste of tadpoles and a plastic container

My son loved this product and the vendor who sends the tadpoles out are very careful not to send them when they are at risk of dying because it’s too hot or cold. Good stuff.

I homeschool so I got the kit as an educational lesson. There was a lack of information and in my opinion lacks all the necessary items for transition from tadpoles to frog such as a way for them to get out of the water once they loose gills and gain lungs (they could die if not provided). Also it doesn't tell you what kind of frogs and each type of frogs need some different things and that they are a 2 to 7 year commitment. It says there will be a certificate for the tadpoles surprise I got the tadpoles but the package it did not say anything about live tadpoles and my mail carrier shoved into mailbox on the hottest day. Also since it is meant be a commitment it would be nice if there was details on how to house them for their life span also they need live bugs and supplements it would have been nice to at least get the 1st weeks worth of live food for them in a certificate form. The plus of this is it came with tank decor water conditioner tadpole food and instructions for set up for tadpoles. And we are intact learning a ton.

When I first got my tadpoles in they were tiny! I was so worried they wasn't going to survive . I did a little extra research online ended up buying a bigger tank and a heater and a light and some live plants 😁 they are growing and thriving. the booklet and instructions was helpful to get started but ended up with much better results my way 😁 it is so fun watching them grow

I had three kids excited to watch the tadpoles grow into frogs. However, both tadpoles died. A HUGE disappointment. We followed the instructions and everything with the setup and water conditioner. For anyone who decides to try this, I would recommend putting the tadpoles in a regular fish tank that has a filter and/or an air bubbler. I think the tank habitat included is too small and I think they really need a filter. If you use a bigger tank with a filter, they may do better.

Got these for my son for Easter. They have been growing really well. I mainly followed the directions although I did change their water every two days or so. Once your tadpoles grow both sets of legs, if you keep them in the container you receive with the kit I recommend putting something heavy on the lid so they don’t escape. We are set to receive a terrarium in the next few days for them and can’t wait to continue watching them grow. (You should not release them outside for anyone wondering, they are supposed to be tree frogs)

My tadpoles died the first 24 hours but the company sent me a new ones which led to one dead on arrival. Tadpoles are super sensitive and can get sick super easy just by touching the water with a dirty hand. The company was amazing with customer service and treated me well but the tadpoles just couldn't do it for some reason probably no fault but mother nature so just be knowledgeable on tadpoles and you should be okay hopfully
