I love the way this feels on my skin. Super hydrating. Plus it has the actives that are necessary to combat hyperpigmentation, such as alpha-arbutin, glutathione, etc. It absorbs very well and I use it as a moisturizer since I have oily skin I didn't need to overdo it. I've noticed lightning of my dark spots and I've been using it for a little over a month. But the way how it makes my skin feel on top of knowing that I am addressing those problem areas is a win-win for me. Be sure to pair with a tinted mineral sunscreen, especially for my rich melanated girlies! Game changer! I hope someone finds this review helpful

I saw this item on tiktok where the girl says the date spots fades in 7 days, I started using I on my face and between my thighs it did not fades in 7 days but it did fade, the product is really good my face looks so clear, my thigh acne are really clearing up, I gave it a 4 star because it did not go away in 7 days. But it did fade like alot. There is a begire and after picture of my thigh.

Very good product. Easy to use and apply. Absorrbs easily. No need to wait to apply next product. Would be better to have a flip cap though...or pump. I'm concerned I might lose the screw on cap

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I saw videos on tiktok with persons saying that this product works so I've decided to try it out lol. Its been 5 days now I'm using this cream so I'll wait and see how it goes lol

I've been using this for almost a month and I haven't seen much changes with my dark spots. I've been using it for at least 3 times a day, everyday consistently since receiving the product.

As someone who has dealt with melasma for much of my adult life, I’m always on the lookout for products to help treat my uneven spots. I’ve used both OTC and prescription remedies that over time, have greatly improved my skin’s quality. I also know that an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure, so I’m continuing to research and experiment with different products to maintain a balanced epidermis. That’s where alpha arbutin comes in. This cream from Tia’m (the sister brand of CosRx) has 5% alpha arbutin as the 3rd ingredient. If you’re not familiar, alpha arbutin is a derivative of hydroquinone, which is commonly used as a skin brightening agent. It’s powerful stuff, and shrouded in controversy, though it’s quite effective at treating uneven skin tones. Alpha arbutin on the other hand, is a more gentle and better tolerated compound. That said, 5% is on the upper end of what’s generally recommend, and in some cases exceeds the recommendations, so please keep that in mind. Since starting this Mela Care cream, I haven’t noticed any significant changes in my skin tone, but I can confidently say that it hasn’t worsened. The main drawback I’ve experienced is that it sometimes bleeds into my eyes and stings. That’s probably mostly due to user error (sometimes I’ll rub my eyes or tear up from dry eyes/allergies), but I feel it’s important to note nonetheless. Usually once it dries I don’t have any problem, but it can still catch me off guard if I’m not careful. Another thing is that the cream sometimes pills under my moisturizer. It’s not so noticeable when I spot treat, but I can definitely feel the granular texture when I apply it all over my face. Overall, I like the brand, and am happy with this cream. Since I’m using it more preventatively than as treatment, it’s hard to gauge if I’ve seen any effects, but again, it’s definitely not making my skin any worse.
