Works perfectly.
Must have to adapt newer quick connect housing to older threaded steering gears. Perfect fit. Easy to install and use. Easy to release the cable housing when needed.

Just what I needed
Perfect for my application, used on an addictor 190 mini speed boat restoration. Used this because I needed the cable to be run through the hub the opposite way so that the main cable could be run the to the left side of the boat. Works nicely.

Saved the helm on my 1966 Alumacraft Queen Merrie
Worked great for mounting a new style quick release cable on my old boat. The helm was still in great shape and I didn’t want to have to change the steering wheel on my classic old speed boat. This adapter is a solution to the problem. My old cable was past its prime and I could not find an old style replacement anywhere.

It was a waste of hard money for me
This converter is threaded so the helm you are attaching it to must have male NPT. Doesn't tell you that before you buy. It was a waste of hard money for me.
