Best 40 quid I've spent on guitar for a long time. Get one.
Love this wee device, sound is really good, with firmware update it does midi via the usb, battery life is great, small sound is good , NAM support and works with the free NAMs, presets are really good, and they are easily modified, works will with headphones too, so you could basically have this mounted on your belt with belt clip, a wee short cable to the guitar, and a pair of headphones. Does not come with a usb c cable, don't know why, but you need one for power or charging, or using as an audio interface. Can connect via Bluetooth to your phone, phone app is good, and you will need to use Bluetooth if wou want to use the full set of drums rather than just the metronomes. Also allows you to play along with music from phone and properly mixes it. The website has all the firmware updates, software, and drivers for Mac and windows, and the unit also can be used for recording to the pc in DAW or whatever you want. Not really played with the looper that much, but it works, it's only 10 seconds but it you can overdub and pause and restart easily enough. Phone app makes life so much easier when using this. Hold all three buttons to put into firmware update mode of for copying NAM files, can hold 5 NAMs at a time. Loads of good videos on YouTube for demos, and reviews, the best 40 quid I've spent on my guitar for a while, might buy some more for gifts for other people. Buttons are nice and solid so you could use your feet, and belt clip is detachable so you don't scratch wooden flooring. Strong, well made, long battery life, great device.

Excellent for the price!
I bought this to travel with along with a headless guitar, but it’s so good I’ll keep it with me on gigs as a backup. The app is really intuitive so editing the sounds is very easy and essential as the presets aren’t great, but they can be tweaked to sound very good. Highly recommended, especially at an Amazon discount price of £39

For £50 it's incredible - with flaws
The great - it's so small you can put it in your trouser pocket. The good - it's rechargeable, take it anywhere and if it needs a recharge in use it's USB C. The OK - the presets are all over-the-top, but can be toned down easily on the phone app. The not so OK - it's not a foot pedal, unless you have tiny feet. It's a finger pedal. The bad - turn on Drums without the app and you just get a metronome. To get drums, you have to go back into the app and reconnect Bluetooth again to get real drums, which is really frustrating. The really bad - using a looper with your your finger (the same finger that needs to be either holding the plectrum or on the fretboard). But for £50 it's incredible and has taught me so much about various FX without having to buy individual pedals. I now have 10 personal presets which cover everything I need.

Hit's the spot.
Over the years I've had many boxes like this all the way back to the original Korg Panadora and onwards through the various Pandora versions they made. They were all great in their own way. This doesn't move the concept on massively except in a few areas - smaller size and the inclusion of bluetooth and a built in battery. All my old headphone practice amps needed an audio cable from whatever backing source you might be playing with, but with this unit streaming wirelessly from my phone is now open to me. A huge plus. You'll still need to plug your guitar in, obviously, but that's it. The unit comes with a robust grip clip so you can attach the unit to your guitar strap. Plug in and you're good to go. The small size means menu diving is the order of the day to change parameters on the patches (of which there are plenty built in) but that's part of the fun to set up your sounds. For the price this is ridiculous value. There's built in drum tracks to play and a metronome, all the things you'd expect. These are decent quality and more than adequate for a little practice device like this. Any shortcomings (say slightly fiddly menus, small screen etc) seem pointless to mention as what else do I expect of a device this small? The performance per £ is off the chart really. I have some nice amps at home but unless I actually wanted to be heard this is what I would reach for every single time.

Absolutely incredible
This should be in every guitarist’s kit bag. An absolutely incredible sounding little box that you can hook up to an amp or use as a pocket recording / playing device. It goes straight to headphones, or an amp input, has loads of fantastic sounding amps and effects, plus IR’s, and probably best of all, it integrates directly as an audio input for GarageBand on an iPhone via just a simple USB-C. Result? Instantly ready to record high quality sounds in seconds. It’s just absolutely brilliant and incredibly easy to use straight out of the box. It does have a ton of options, but you don’t need to use any of them. It’s sturdy enough for home use, comes in loads of different styles, and fits perfectly into any space. I bought the pink one because it was cheaper, but also bought one for a friend. Looks ace. A wonderful bit of kit for capturing all those ideas that you usually do via the camera on your phone.

Sonicake Pocket Master
Taking the time to learn how to use it, haven't engaged with pedal effects before so it's all new. Part of the journey! Impressive litle unit though.

Great sounding amd great value
This sounds great to my ears. I'm using it with keyboards not guitar. The output is stereo so you can just plug in a pair of headphones for practice. It's got a built-in tuner (which is useful) and a looper which give you about 10 seconds of looping time (so will not replace a dedicated looper). You also get a simple metronome built in. The effects sound really good, and there is a lot to choose from, and you can move quite a lot of them around in the signal chain although Drive, Amp, IR, and EQ are in a fixed block. You can edit all the effects directly on the pedal (with a little bit of menu diving). It's fairly straightforward but a bit fiddly. The good thing is that you can download an app to a computer/IOS/android and edit it from a phone or tablet using Bluetooth. This is very handy and is easy to set up. You can also download 5 user IRs and NAM files for the Amp (although when using NAM files you lose the IR module - as it's probably too much of a strain on the CPU). There's a website that offers free IRs and NAM files called Tonehunt. You can also use this as a sound card for your computer - although I've not used this yet. It's powered by a built in rechargable battery which can be charged by USB-C. It's tiny, but that's part of its charm. It's well worth the money and is a third of the price of comparable multieffects pedals. I liked it so much that I ordered on for my best friend's 50th birthday.

Well it's pretty amazing that such a thing even exists let alone at this price.
We have become used to getting amazing audio gear for practically nothing these days and it is sometimes a good thing to step back and take stock. This is not perfect but it is incredible that it is available to all for pocket money. You have to set up presets and so it takes a bit of work to make it work for you, but the sound quality is impeccable (I was a studio engineer back in the 1980s with a few number ones under my belt and I know whereof I speak) and the variety and controllability of the effects, in stereo, particularly if you add midi control, is remarkable. Whether in the end you decide it's for you, only you can tell, but let's not be disappointed it doesn't make the tea as well. If you're a guitarist and you can't sound good with this then go home and practise some more.

Sonicake delivers again
The Sonicake Pocket Master is an amazing little multi effects processor that sounds absolutely incredible. Don’t let the price fool you, this thing packs a punch. It’s very small. The sounds are amazing. It’s pretty easy to use. There’s an app that’s included so you can tweak the parameters on the effects. These settings can also be saved to create your own custom sounds. There’s a drum machine to jam along with. There’s a 10 second looper. The effects quality is great. Lush reverbs, swirling choruses, massive delays and many distortions and gains to get lost in. USB audio interface. Built in tuner. Headphone out. Built in rechargeable battery. I could go on and on. I’m using it as a home recording/practice tool and it’s great. I’m sure it could also be live on a pedalboard as well. This is my second product I’ve purchased by Sonicake and I’m just going to say that the quality and sound and price point are amazing. I’m very impressed with this company and I highly recommend their products to everyone.

Wrong color sent
Wrong version sent. Ordered the transparent white, received the purple one. As it's for a special occasion, I don't have time to return it. Good product it seems, but I can only hope my kid won't be disappointed.

Incredible unit that can load NAM profiles at this price point
I don't write a lot of reviews but this unit is a fantastic deal. The quality of the available sounds are unbelievable, at this price point. It's a very compact unit that I highly recommend. It sounds great, it's inexpensive and it runs off a built-in battery! I bought it for travel but I'm actually going to be using it at home a lot and it might end up replacing another unit I have, entirely. The ability to load NAM profiles, at this price point, is a welcome surprise. My main interest with this unit was the ability to load NAM profiles. If that is your main interest, here are the steps I took, with my Apple devices. While these are the steps I took, I still recommend reading the manual, first. These steps should be similar for Windows and Android but your mileage may vary. 1. went to Sonicakes' website and downloaded and installed the pocketMaster software on my Mac computer (NAM profiles were added in a firmware update). I also download the firmware update and the manual. 2. powered up the PocketMaster and hooked it up, by USB, to my Mac. 3. used the software to update the firmware. 4. downloaded the Soniclink app on my iPhone. 5. enabled bluetooth on the PocketMaster and launched the App, pairing my iPhone with the unit. 6. went to the Tone Hunt website and looked for NAM profiles to download to my phone. 7. went to the amp button, in the app. 8. under mode, I clicked on the Clone tab. 9. selected "import clone" and navigated to the unzipped folder and choose the NAM profile to import. 10. selected one of the 5 available slots that said 'empty,' in the app, and pressed "import." 11. tried several NAM profiles in the patch patch I was in to see how they sounded. Final thoughts: I'm blown away by the ease of use, functionality and tones, at this price point. I wasn't keen on some of the presets but every unit I've ever tried was like that. It's a a simple thing to tweak, until they sound good. Frankly, my main purpose was to use NAM profiles with effects and I'm very pleased with how that sounds. The effects are excellent. I wish looper was longer than 10 seconds but the drum patterns and ability to jam along to Youtube Videos on my phone, is all I needed. The PocketMaster is selling out for reason.
