This MidCoat works great for metal flake and glitter. I paint helmets so layering is pretty important and this didn't have any solvent pop.

Nice Clear Mid-Coat but expensive
I would give this product a 5 star review if it wasn't for the price and that it is not a prime item so you have to pay for the expensive shipping. Adding color and flakes are easy to do. It lays down nicely and is actually clear. Unfortunately it looks like this is the only clear mid-coat available on Amazon so it is over-priced.

metal flake
I used this to put large metal flake in to shoot on my motorcycle and also used it to mix a pearl mica to shoot.it dryied fast and went on smooth with the pearl. Then shot candy color then clear. You will have to buy the reducer for it which is sold seprately.

The shipping & everything was great & the product worked well but,,, It takes some finessing to get the mix right , As it does not spray well to the tech specs..... I recommend using either a slower reducer than you are used to , or , That you add about 20-25% more reducer than it says so it wont start spraying "Grainy" ,, as you typically see when painting in a hot climate..... Otherwise it works great..
