Engineering Mechanics: Dynamics (12th Edition)

One of my favorite textbooks! I am in my fourth year in engineering and I think this textbook should be the benchmark of how engineering textbooks should look and read. It's very easy to find key points, the graphics are colorful and easy to understand. I often use it as a reference for my other classes. I wish all of my engineering textbooks were of this quality.

Of all my engineering books, the Hibbeler series books are the best looking books, they have excellent color pictures and the layout/organization and fluidity of the text is excellent. However, no one buys books for how they look, this book does a good job of providing derivations and explanations of equations; but, the problem sets at the end of each section are often much more difficult than the examples. The solution manual is readily available online via file hosting sites or torrents but the solutions are usually bare bones and the method of solution is usually harder than that taught by a professor. If your school plans to use this with the Mastering Engineering website be aware that this copy on amazon does NOT contain an access code to mastering engineering so you have to fork over the extra $55 for an online access code, take that into account when comparing vs the cost at the school library.

The condition of the book was more than accurate. I'm very satisfied with the condition of the book for the price. I found the book itself to be well organized and concise. Plenty of good worked examples. Didn't find any mistakes. I would suggest this book to someone learning Dynamics for the first time.

Great book with good explanations. As a student I approve. No errors that I remember.

I bought this book for class and found that it's spectacular. It's not the newest edition but it meets my needs just as well. The book is pretty ordinary, it contains formulas, concepts, examples, and practice problems all in an easy to read format and style. The read pay off is that when I bought this the newest edition was around $200, I got this for a little over $10. My only issue is that on the inside cover. There is a munch of formulas in the inside cover, the formulas are correct but I don't like the way they wrote them; for my purposes I prefer them written differently. I know that it seems insignificant but it's really my only issue.

Amazon offered this book for a college class for my son. I was impressed with the book price offered verses the book store price of $30.00 more. Amazon always makes shopping on their site the best choice. No tax, Thanks Amazon

This book does not teach the importance of the kinematic diagram to go with the free body diagram. Several Fundamental problems are worked wrong. Some of the worked examples skip too many steps without explanation.
