So out of the box it will can work but limited. You must own software to play bluerays ($80 investment). Must replace the cables. I replaced them with micro usb- usb for charging, an absolute must it is super power hungry and needs its own power brick this will reduce the artifacting when playing bluerays. I also replaced the split cabe to usb c for data. Unfortunately this port isnt fast enough to play bluerays flawlessly. With my set up i still get artifacting during cut scenes and action scenes. I will work on a usb c hub but only if using a usb c cable data from the player

Don't even try this product. It not only did not work on my computer, but also destroyed a 70 dollars movie. This product has no name and is one of the worst I have ever seen in my life time. If it was possible to give no star, I would without any hesitation give no star. It is not worth to spend a penny for this product. I returned it within just few hours.

Vraiment les performances de lecture et de gravures sont excellentes. Les 2 interfaces USB3 et USB-C, sont très pratiques. Fonctionne très bien avec OSX catalina, sans pilote. Par Contre, il faudrait, avec le lecteur/Graveur, avoir le choix de 2 logiciel , un pour la gravure ou/et un pour la lecture de Disque Blueray. Il est un peu bruyant, mais rien de trop envahissant. Je recommande ce produit qui est compatible avec les MacBook Air et Catalina.

This was an awesome buy. It tried to require me to download a few different software just to watch the Blue-rays but I was able to get around that. It has been a great product to have especially when I have a laptop with no disk drive. Edit: it has been a bit since having it. So far it was working fine. My husband would play his DVDs and everything was fine. Then all of a sudden it stopped working mid show. He tried stopping the DVD and then restarting it. Unplugging it and replugging it in. Nothing worked. The laptop just stopped recognizing it and then the player itself stopped recognizing dvds were in it. We are going to let it rest and try again a different day and see if it needed to rest or not.
