M5stack Official LLM (Large Language Model) Module Kit(AX630C)

Let me start by saying, update the image! You will have a much better experience if you upgrade the image on the LLM module BEFORE you attempt anything. I had a team of developers do a deep dive on the system with me and as shipped, it will not work as a voice assistant no matter what you do. The easy button is to upgrade the image then everything seems to work as described. This is not a project for the faint at heart or beginner, if you aren't already familiar with M5stack products and are looking for a beginner project this is NOT it. If you're a developer then you should feel right at home. I got it working and it sits on my desk replying to anyone passing by that says hello... it's a cool conversation started for sure, especially when you tell people that it's independent from the internet and the LLM is built in. Everyone has a voice assistant now, but very few have ones that work without the internet. This kit tried my very last nerve but I won in the end. My advice to anyone that orders it, make sure you're on the latest image and it should be smooth sailing. BTW I have this stacked on a core 3 with the Din Base for power. Protip: you have to move the internal speaker to attach the ribbon cables from the LLM module to the LLM Mate. Make sure you free up about 2 hours as the ZIF socket is right up against the case, I used an electronics microscope and a pair of tweezers to get the cable in finally. If you're easily frustrated, steer clear of this device, if you love to tinker for hours then this IS the device for you. It's so difficult to get inserted they include 2 ribbon cables in the package because they know you're going to mess one up on the first attempt. The payoff is when you get it all working, that's when you realize the value of the device. That's when you'll feel like you actually accomplished something....
