Does the lid stay on when pouring water from it? The lid on my mom's current Brita pitcher (different model) keeps falling off.

The lid falls off constantly. Every time I use it, and it's really frustrating. The model was very poorly designed -- the plastic that is supposed to hold the lid in place is far too narrow, and there is nothing else to hold the lid in place.

Any Idea if this would fit in a standard size dorm (mini) fridge?

I currently live in a dorm and the slim filter fits in my fridge with room to spare. I don't know what the standard size of a mini fridge is but my fridge is about 1.5 x 1.5 x 2.3 (LxWxH in feet). I think I had to take a shelf out but I was not using it. Hope this helps.
