Great motor, great shipping, all around great product!
I bought this motor to go on the back of my canoe, although the steering control is a bit tricky and take some learning, I now have the fastest canoe on the lake! So far it performs as described and was very easy to install. I definitely would recommend this as a way to move around your boat on the water makes life so much easier. 360 Degree steering is a total game changer. The hard part is remembering which way it was pointed when we were last moving can prove very exciting

Great product for a much more reasonable price then other ...
I have a 16' pontoon boat on a 200 acre private lake. This motor works incredibly well for fishing the banks or just cruising around the lake at full speed. The remote hasn't worked the last few times but I haven't tried to reset it. If you are buying this for fishing, which I'm sure most are, I wouldn't rely on the remote but I would purchase the foot pedal which has worked flawlessly thus far. Great product for a much more reasonable price then other name brands.

It may surprise you
I wanted to put some hours on this thing before giving my opinion on whether or not I think it's worth buying... Quality of Build and Components: I would give this area a 4 out of 5. Shaft is solid, Prop and the fin on the bottom of Prop area are molded out of a decent plastic. The fin could use a redesign on how it mounts, the screws don't seem to tighten all the way down so there is some play in it. The propeller has taken a beating in the 10 or so trips that I've used the trolling motor, constantly hitting submerged timber and still going, but this will eventually take a toll unless I improve my awareness. The upper are of the motor is of decent plastic and the shape of it is an easy indicator of the direction you are pointing. The controller is kind of mehhh on build quality but isnt so cheaply made that im concerned about it. (I do not have the foot pedal, would never use it) The mounting bracket is well made and easy to install. Trolling speed and sound/vibration: Solid 4 out of 5. Slowest setting trolls at 0.4 mph, topped out trolling is 4 mph on a 16 foot jon boat. Some people have written that it is loud, they may have over tightened the propeller. I noticed mine was loud on the first outing, went home and backed off the Prop nut a turn and now hardly notice it at all unless it's running wide open. The beeping when changing speed doesn't bother me, but to some it may become annoying. Controller Function: 4 out of 5. The buttons are easy to press and the controller fits nicely in my hand but could be bulky to some. It feels like it may float but I'm not going to test that. Buttons are responsive 90% of the time. Occasionally I will have to re press the speed up or down to change speed(this is how the beeping comes in handy, verifies the button made contact and the function took) Value: 4.5 out of 5. I would definitely purchase this unit again over the nearly 3x more expensive brands for my set up. If you're looking for a remote controlled trolling motor but aren't willing to spend the money on one of the more expensive brands, set your expectations at the price point you're paying and you will be blown out the water by this thing.

no
as advertised, however the remote speed controls need to have an led bar graph so you will know what speed you are at.

Recommend people to skip buying this.
There is no way this piece should be plastic. It is part of the bushing that the Motor sits on so you can steer the motor. 1/2” of it snapped off and now there is just one have of it left. So if the other part breaks off. You will not be able to steer. Secondly there is also something wrong with either the remote or something. Because when you are moving. If you press the remote to go left. It constantly shuts off the motor every time. Very annoying. And i only hd it for an hour

do not pass up these motors
do not pay attention to these horrible reviews on these motors. definitely comparable to minnkotas or motorguides very please with this trolling motor. used for 3 hours against current and down current or a river never left 100 perfect charged using a duracell 12v deep cycle drycell battery 55Ah. propeller motor is very quiet and also the rotating/ turning motor is very quiet. everything is pretty much self explanatory on directions. never lost connection on the remote control once. i hope the waranty or replacement parts if needing them are easy to get. i will update later down the road for long term review.

So far working good.
I haven’t tried it yet on the water, but I’m excited that it’s working great on my kayak. Remote control is working great too.

Seems Well-Designed
Wish it didn’t project in front when stowed. The remote is unnecessarily large, IMO. I haven’t used the motor yet; in fact, it’s not installed on my boat yet. Seems pretty well made; time’ll tell if it holds up.

Good value, well built.
Great unit, priced for anyone to afford, just installed and ran for the first time, lots of power for a 17 aluminum boat. Worked great , remote very responsive. I would have liked a bit better installation instructions. A drilling template would have been great as you are drilling into you decking to mount the unit. Had a bit of trouble getting the removable mount to work as there is carpet on my deck, had to shim the mount to get the unit on and off the mount without too much force. I would recommend this unit.
